The aim of the study is to understand the investmentp a t t e r n a n d i n v e s tme ntdistribution of inform edinvestors among the various financial products available, with special focus on mutual funds. The data was collected by distributing
structured questionnaires to 300 investors on a random basis.The research shows that most of them still prefer traditional investment products such as bank deposits to mutual funds as preservation of capital is their primary goal but the risk that they take increases with age.
