    A Study on Employee Job Satisfaction in Maruti Suzuki

    The study was conducted to find out the “Job satisfaction” level of the employees at BIMAL MARUTI SUZUKI. Maruti Suzuki is a leading car maker in India which is a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan. Maruti is a market leader in mid-size segment of cars and has a market share of 42% in mid-size segment cars. Best selling cars of Maruti include Swift, Swift Dzire, Alto and Ertiga.They has production on economies of scale and works on cost effectiveness. Bimal Maruti is an authorized Maruti car dealership located in Bangalore, Karnataka. Bimal Maruti is one of the eminent Maruti Car dealers in Bangalore. The dealership is equipped with avant-garde services, advanced diagnostic equipment’s and highly accomplished workforce. Bimal Maruti assists in buying new car and certified used car. The well-trained and passionate workforce addresses your concerns apace. This project was conducted to observe observed how far employees are satisfied with their job levels. Job satisfaction is an attitude of a person. It depends upon the job itself, nature of job and the importance of the job as well as the interest of the person doing the job. Job satisfaction has the impact on job performance. If the employees do not have job satisfaction it may result in absenteeism, loss of productivity. Although the organizations do provide the measure to meet the law, employees may or may not be satisfied by the facilities provide. An attempt has been made in this dissertation to study the factors influencing job satisfaction of the employees towards the welfare measures provided. A sample of 100 employees is randomly selected to answer the questionnaire developed for the above purpose. Some of the limitation that I faced while conducting this study was: the shortage of time and peak production period during which the employees are usually very busy. The data collected was analyzed and the findings and conclusion highlighted that most of the employees were highly satisfied by such facilities as medical and orientation. There were hardly few employees who were found to be not satisfied by any of the facilities provided by BIMAL MARUTI SUZUKI. This high level of satisfaction of the BIMAL MARUTI SUZUKI employees has directly affected the productivity of the company which is on the rising side.
