Item Design and Fabrication of Prototype for Direct Conversion of Heat to Electricity(2020-09-19T08:11:29Z) Akhil, C H; Hrishikesh, A; Jishnu S, Nair; Rashid S, SalimPower cost is increasing, environmental pollution and global warming are issues that we are dealing with in the present time. To reduce their effects, scientists are focusing on improving energy harvesting-based power generators. Generating electricity in present, due to the shortage of fossil fuel, oil, gas, etc. are the limiting resources hence resulting new technology is needed for electricity generation. By converting waste heat into electricity through the seebeck effect without producing greenhouse gas emissions. This waste heat recovery is one of its most promising applications which is becoming a noticeable area of research. The primary challenge of this technology is its relatively low heat converting to electricity, but low efficiency is not a major issue because of the technology we using is waste heat and costless thermal energy input. The system efficiency of seebeck effect technology is depend on the module properties and system configurations. In this project, a theoretical model has been developed to produce the electric power from low grade waste heat using seebeck technology. From the optimization of the model it is found that waste heat temperature difference, arrangement of peltier modules, enhancing heat transfer co- efficient plays an important role to maximize the net electric power. Heat source which is need for this conversion is less when contrast to conventional methods. By using this energy, we can charge the mobile and electronics equipments
