Item Design and Development of Enterprise Integration Solutions Using PI/Po and SAP CPI(NHCE, 2026) ANKITA PANCHAGAVI 1NH24MC018Modern enterprises operate within highly interconnected digital ecosystems where seamless communication between applications, cloud platforms, and business systems is essential for efficient business operations. This internship report documents the experiential learning programme undertaken at Capgemini Technology Services India Ltd., during which various aspects of enterprise application integration were studied and implemented using SAP Integration Suite and related SAP technologies. The report is structured around the practical exploration of cloud-based integration solutions designed to facilitate secure, scalable, and reliable data exchange across heterogeneous enterprise environments. The internship focused on the development, configuration, testing, and monitoring of integration flows (iFlows) within SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), enabling communication between SAP and non-SAP systems through APIs, web services, messaging protocols, and file-based interfaces. The study examines key integration concepts including message routing, content-based processing, data transformation, message mapping, exception handling, data enrichment, secure connectivity, and asynchronous communication. Various technologies and tools such as SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP PI/PO, Groovy scripting, XSLT mapping, JMS queues, SAP Event Mesh, SFTP communication, API Management, and Open Connectors were utilized to implement real-world integration scenarios. Particular emphasis was placed on designing reusable integration components, ensuring secure data transmission, and improving interoperability across distributed business applications.
