Trend analysis is the method of comparing information of business for the specified historical period to find the paradigms or the trends of the business performance. A strategical approach is used to improvise and correct the short-term business goals of an organization by analysing the trends of the company. The objective of trend analysis help understands the business about the growth of their business in the future and help in forecast of the future of the business and also helps the business by persuading them to apply appropriate business practices to enhance their operational efficiency. It gives an insight of how a business has to be conducted in the right direction. Trend analysis is a financial statement analysis tool which helps in determining the financial health of a company. The anticipated performance of the company is dependent on the historical financial health and the current performance of the organization. The trend analysis of HAL was mainly done for knowing the financial position and the performance of the company in a span of five financial years from 2012 to 2017.The need of the study is to learn and comprehend the trends in the financial position of the company. To analyse various factors so that the company can improve in its financial performance.
