    Restoration of Varthur Lake Water using SBR Method

    This project is a comparative study of using SBR method to restore the chemical and biological properties of Varthur Lake Water.This study helps in increasing the Dissolved Oxygen and decreasing the pH and Biological Oxygen Demand of the sample water tested. The waste water from the lake is collected using grab sampling and tested for chemical and biological properties as stated by Indian Standards book. The sample water is then allowed to sit in the Sequential Batch Reactor is tested as per specifications in. Bureau of Indian Standards laid down IS 10500 : 2012. The sample water with high pH and BOD can be rectified using activated sludge . This modified water shows a 10% decrease in pH
