Power quality has become a crucial factor today due to wide application of power
electronics based equipment. Conventional equipment for enhancement of power
quality is becoming inadequate. Unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) is one
modern device which deals with voltage and current imperfections simultaneously. In
this paper, an attempt has been made to model the UPQC for voltage and current
compensation with the help of two different control schemes. The current and voltage
harmonics as well as voltage sag and swells compensation are shown.
