In this project we are using a ESP8266 WiFi chip which has the ability to talk to the internet. It understands AT commands only. We are using embedded code to input AT commands for the particular functions. For security we are using SSID and password for logging in to the internet. When we are connected, it redirects to the cloud. The cloud is a platform from which anybody can read and access the data provided by us. For the controlling and switching operations, we are developing an Android application through MIT App Inventor 2. The application connects to the server and the server connects to the ESP8266 WiFi chip. The codes are uploaded to the ESP8266 chip by arduino. Here, we are connecting a fan as an induction motor, a light bulb and an electronic device as mobile charger to the WiFi chip through the server and control the electrical and electronic devices through the mobile application for the switching control.
