    Data Integration using various Ontologies

    There are several things one can do with integration of movies and books. Each movie has several properties and people associated with it. Books have several attributes, publications and release dates. Even locations have several attributes and entities associated with it. For this project, we are creating a meta-ontology on specific aspects of these entities. Some of the areas related to each entity are listed below: Movies – Title, Director, Release Date, Writers, Locations Books – Book Name, Publisher, Author(s), Book Release date, Language Location – Country, Place, City, State, Region People - Name, Place of Birth, Occupation The purpose of this project is to develop a federated system comprising of a meta-ontology which integrates individual book, movie, people and location ontologies. One of the major problems currently is that these ontologies are independent and has a lot of overlapping information which can be used for information extraction. The goal of the system is to provide an interface to retrieve the information related to the books that have been made into movies, people involved with them and information about locations where movie is made.
