Item Development of Cost Effective Super Hydrophobic Coating for Various Materials(2020-09-19T08:22:18Z) Shashikanth, Reddy; Chidri, Vinod; Goutham, G; Sedavi, RioThe aim of this project is to develop a safe hydrophobic solution having excellent chemical stability at room temperature that can coat any and every material and can be used for commercially icephobic products aiming for an environmental friendly and cost effective. The purpose of this project is to create a hydrophobic coating that is applicable for both metallic and non-metallic materials, hence protecting the material from corrosion and degradation by water and other liquid solutions including grease and fats. This solution can also be used to coat wood that are to be used for construction purposes and help prevent the absorption of water into the wood and hence protect the wood from rotting as well as from wood eating insects. This project aims to explain the hydrophobic behaviour and discuss latest hydrophobic technological breakthroughs. Since Super-hydrophobic surfaces and coatings can fundamentally change how water interacts with surfaces and the fact that the earth is a water world, it can legitimately be said that this technology has the potential to change the world.Item Dynamic Smart Parking System Using IoT(2017-08-18T09:26:45Z) Abhishek, A; Goutham, GThe number of vehicles are increasing day by day and it is very hard for the driver to find a parking space among few. Finding a vacant parking space is time and fuel consuming. This problem may cause drivers to get frustrated and eventually improper parking will appear. This will cause traffic jam in the parking spaces and accident might occur. Hence, we propose a smart parking system that provides the information of available parking spaces to the drivers according to their profile and the details provided. Smart parking system helps drivers to find and park their vehicle in cost effective manner. This solves the problem stated above as users get to choose the parking space and this will feed the information of vacant spaces available to users so to prevent users to wander around at the parking lot. As a result, this will help reduce traffic jams and improper parking in the parking spaces in the future
