    This internship report presents the knowledge and practical experience gained during a networking internship focused on computer networking concepts, communication protocols, network configuration, and troubleshooting techniques. The internship provided both theoretical understanding and hands-on exposure to networking technologies through the use of tools such as Cisco Packet Tracer, networking commands, routers, switches, and IP addressing techniques. The primary objective of the internship was to understand the design, implementation, and management of computer networks. Various networking concepts including LAN, WAN, OSI Model, TCP/IP Model, IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and network topologies were studied and implemented through practical activities. Connectivity testing and troubleshooting were performed using commands such as ping, ipconfig, and tracert to identify and resolve communication issues. The internship also introduced basic network security concepts such as firewalls, authentication, encryption, and secure communication practices. Through continuous practical exercises and simulations, valuable technical skills in network configuration, communication testing, troubleshooting, and network management were developed. In addition, professional skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, communication, adaptability, and time management were enhanced. Overall, the internship successfully bridged the gap between theoretical learning and practical implementation by providing real-world exposure to networking environments. The experience strengthened the foundation in computer networking and prepared the intern for future academic projects, professional certifications, and career opportunities in networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and information technology.
