Project report on smart hospital and doctor appointment system
(New Horizon College, 2026) Parachuri Nikitha, U19KU23S0112
The "Smart Hospital and Doctor Appointment System" is a robust, web-based solution engineered to digitalize and streamline the management of clinical operations. Built using Python and the Streamlit framework, this application provides an integrated interface for both patients and medical professionals, effectively bridging the gap between healthcare providers and those seeking care. The system addresses critical challenges in modern healthcare administration, such as inefficient appointment scheduling, disorganized patient records, and the lack of realtime emergency responsiveness. By leveraging a centralized SQLite database, the system allows for secure data storage, enabling features like automated appointment booking, patient history tracking, and medical prescription generation in PDF format. Furthermore, the inclusion of a specialized "Emergency SOS" module ensures that critical cases are flagged immediately, facilitating faster clinical intervention. With its intuitive dashboard, medical staff can monitor bed occupancy, view appointment queues, and analyze hospital performance using interactive data visualizations generated by Plotly. This project serves as a comprehensive tool to minimize manual documentation errors and optimize the quality of hospital services through technology driven automation.
