    Analysis of Implementation of RFID Technology in Retail Industry

    Supermarket is a place where large number of people gather on a daily basis to purchase items of their needs. Based on number of items of each customer, items are processed and billed accordingly for each individual separately. Choosing the items that are required is huge task itself, furthermore the customer needs to sit tight for a timeframe which might be short or long, before he/she can pay their bill that is generated which is hectic and time consuming. One solution to the problem to provide automated billing system utilizing RFID. This system will keep record of items, help increase security by counteracting robbery of items, spares customer time spent amid billing, makes the procedure of billing quicker, saves the company in light of resource, etc. The Automated billing system helps the client to be free from the worry of holding up in long line to get to the billing counter and further more avoid more time for the items chosen by them to be verified by barcode scanners at a time or entered manually before a bill is generated by the cashier. The key idea is to help to customers on every day shopping in accordance of decreased time spent while buying items from a store utilizing RFID technology.
