    LOW COST HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEM”
    (2019-06-18T09:37:28Z) SHARATH N; SATISH J; MANOJ KUMAR K
The main objective of our project is to build a low cost home automation system using a Node MCU with Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) and remotely control it with any android OS smart phone. As technology is advancing, modern houses are gradually shifting from conventional switches to centralized control systems. Presently, conventional wall switches located in different parts of the house makes it difficult for the user to go near them to operate especially for elderly people and physically disabled people. Our project also monitors the temperature and humidity in the room and provides the data in Graphical User Interface (GUI). We also monitor the room for presence of people and automatically turn on the lights if the light intensity falls below threshold. The user can exercise seamless control over the devices in a smart home via the Android application based GUI on a smartphone. In order to achieve this the built in Wi-Fi module is used at the receiver end while on the transmitter end, a GUI application on the cell phone is used to control lights/fans by touching on specified location of GUI and sensor values will be displayed on the android application.
