    Design and Fabrication of Oxy-Hydrogen Generator

    For the past few years, automobile industries have been researching on new technologies to simultaneously increase the performance of the engine and the efficiency of the engine. With fuel prices on the rise, both the consumer and the government want a new technology which decreases the fuel consumption and emissions from the engine. There are many such solutions to this problem such as EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), Catalytic Convertor, Forced Induction, ECU kits, auxiliary systems, Bio-fuels, etc. In our project we will attempt to address this issue by designing and fabricating HHO Generator which is an auxiliary system. This generator uses the principle of electrolysis, which splits the demineralised water into its constituent gases hydrogen and oxygen, which is sent to the combustion chamber via the air intake. These gases are utilized to increase the performance, decrease the fuel consumption and decrease the emissions of the engine
