    The project report on Vijaya bank was carried out for the time period of 4 weeks. The title of the study is “financial performance analysis” with the analysis of financial statements of banks of five years. Vijaya bank is growing steadily; it was recognized as schedule bank in the year 1985, by merging with 9 banks in the year 1980 it became nationalised. As Banks plays very important role in development of the economy, it act as a main source for raising funds, it is given in respect of meeting financial requirement by any individual. In this project title” A study on financial performance analysis at the vijaya bank Bangalore’’ The intention in choosing the above topic is to know the company’s overall financial standings and profitability As banks provide fund in order to encourage entrepreneur, especially those who are coming with new ideas, it will also see to it savings of the individuals are mobilized which leads capital formation, it also provide funds to industrial sector which contribute to development of the economy and also look into growth of capital market. It also provides funds in order to support education in India all these impact for the development of economy.
