It has started since the beginning of human creation. Distant communication began as early as 1800 century with the introduction of television, telegraph and then telephony. Interestingly enough, telecommunication stands out as the fastest growing technology, from fixed line to mobile wireless, from voice call to data transfer. The emergence of computer network and telecommunication technologies bears the same objective that is to allow people to communicate. All this while, much efforts has been drawn towards consolidating the device into one and therefore indiscriminate the services. Chatting is a method of using technology to bring people and ideas together despite of the barriers. The technology has been available for years but the acceptance it was quit recent. This project is an example of a chat server. It is made up of applications the client application which runs on system and the server application which runs on any pc on the network. To start chatting client should get connected to server where they can do group and private chatting.Item A Project Report on University management System(2018-10-10T11:11:39Z) Aashith, K PThe title of the project is “University Management system”. The project aims to bring in a centralized system that will ensure the activities in the context of an examination that can be effectively managed. This system allows students to enroll themselves into the system by registering their names or by sharing details to admin. This is done by providing their personal and all the necessary details like Name, email, examination, semester, etc. The provided details are then entered by admin into the system to create their hall tickets and also creates login id and password for them. After creating the hall ticket, the system mails the link of soft copy to every student who have registered. Students containing link in the mail can view and print the hall ticket and also can login into the system using login id and password to modify or update their details like Phone number, email-id, etc. Admin is also responsible for generation of mark sheets for every registered student. There will be total three to six semesters where each semester contains maximum seven subjects. Admin can enter the marks of every student into their respective mark sheet using the system’s GUI or via Database entry. Every student mark sheet will be created and printed separately. Thus on a whole it serves as a complete automated software which handles the every tedious and complex process handled during the examination times by the exam cell of a college.Item A Distributed Mobile Q&A System Based on Social Networks(2018-10-10T11:22:18Z) Anilkumar, BDistributed computing is a field of computer science that studies distributed systems. A distributed system is a software system in which components located on networked computers communicate and coordinate their actions by passing messages. The components interact with each other in order to achieve a common goal. There are many alternatives for the message passing mechanism, including RPC-like connectors and message queues. Three significant characteristics of distributed systems are: concurrency of components, lack of a global clock, and independent failure of components. An important goal and challenge of distributed systems is location transparency. Examples of distributed systems vary from SOA-based systems to massively multiplayer online games to peer-to-peer applications. A computer program that runs in a distributed system is called a distributed program, and distributed programming is the process of writing such programs. Distributed computing also refers to the use of distributed systems to solve computational problems. In distributed computing, a problem is divided into many tasks, each of which is solved by one or more computers, which communicate with each other by message passing. 5Item HI5(2019-02-13T10:42:08Z) Harsh, PareekCommunication is mean for people to exchange messages. Unfortunately, hackers have realized the potential of using apps for spreading malware and spam. The problem is already significant, as we find that at least 13% of apps in our dataset are malicious. So far, the research community has focused on detecting malicious posts and campaigns. Our key contribution is in developing FRAppE—Facebook’s Rigorous Application Evaluator—arguably the first tool focused on detecting malicious apps on Facebook. To develop FRAppE, we use information gathered by observing the posting behavior of 111K Facebook apps seen across 2.2 million users on Facebook. First, we identify a set of features that help us distinguish malicious apps from benign ones. For example, we find that malicious apps often share names with other apps, and they typically request fewer permissions than benign apps. Second, leveraging these distinguishing features, we show that FRAppE can detect malicious apps with 99.5% accuracy, with no false positives and a high true positive rate (95.9%). Finally, we explore the ecosystem of malicious Facebook apps and identify mechanisms that these apps use to propagate. Interestingly, we find that many apps collude and support each other; in our dataset, we find 1584 apps enabling the viral propagation of 3723 other apps through their posts. Long term, we see FRAppE as a step toward creating an independent watchdog for app assessment and ranking, so as to warn Facebook users before installing apps.Item Online Fraud Detection in E Shopping(2019-02-13T11:19:18Z) Deepika, KWe consider the problem of building online machine-learned models for detecting auction frauds in e-commence web sites. Since the emergence of the world wide web, online shopping and online auction have gained more and more popularity. While people are enjoying the benefits from online trading, criminals are also taking advantages to conduct fraudulent activities against honest parties to obtain illegal profit. Hence proactive fraud-detection moderation systems are commonly applied in practice to detect and prevent such illegal and fraud activities. Machine-learned models, especially those that are learned online, are able to catch frauds more efficiently and quickly than human-tuned rule-based systems. In this paper, we propose an online probit model framework which takes online feature selection, coefficient bounds from human knowledge and multiple instance learning into account simultaneously. By empirical experiments on a real-world online auction fraud detection data we show that this model can potentially detect more frauds and significantly reduce customer complaints compared to several baseline models and the human-tuned rule-based system.Item Online European International Tours(2019-02-13T11:22:06Z) Goutham, M VAs tourism is one of the fastest growing industries today, thus within the tourism industry events are getting more and more important. People have become more interested in events of all kinds, and will travel far away to participate in events that they find interesting. Events can offer various economical and social benefits for destinations, and therefore destination managers can and should employ events effectively in a tourism role. It has become widely accepted that every community and destination needs to adopt a long-term, strategic approach to event tourism thereby planning and development in order to realize the full tourism potential of events. This study was launched as a response to the lack of studies on how Tours strategies are actually used in destinations. The study was directed to tours and travel management system and the aim was to explore Tour and Travel packages. We provide the most suitably designed as well as the customized travel packages to the customers. We offer everything related to travelling services less than one roof. The main objective of the proposed system” Online Tours Enquiry System” is to eliminate the manual reservation system. Making the reservation system, fast, user friendly avoid the unnecessary delay in reservation. The new system needs to develop that can handle lots of records and reports efficiently. Searching information about reservation date etc. will present only on one click. The systematic approach in running makes the system to work more efficiently. Various types of constraints can be well interoperated to maintain the database consistency. Any report according to the requirements can get easily. Response time is very less comparative to manual system.Item Asset Management System(2019-02-13T11:25:32Z) Lanka Sriniwas, 15VFSB7020Asset management system is the supply of software and hardware, for example, printers, monitors, laptop, antivirus, scanners completed merchandise that is held at a particular area and time. A tool for ranking all the source files with respect to how likely they are to contain the cause of the bug would enable developers to narrow down their search and improve productivity. This paper introduces an adaptive ranking approach that leverages project knowledge through functional decomposition of source code, API descriptions of library components, the bug-fixing history, the code change history, and the file dependency graph. Given a bug report, the ranking score of each source file is computed as a weighted combination of an array of features, where the weights are trained automatically on previously solved bug reports using a learning-to-rank technique. We evaluate the ranking system on six large scale open source Java projects, using the before-fix version of the project for every bug report. The experimental results show that the learning-to-rank approach outperforms three recent state-of-the-art methods. In particular, our method makes correct recommendations within the top 10 ranked source files for over 70 percent of the bug reports in the Eclipse Platform and Tomcat projects.Item A Project Report on(2020-09-25T12:19:13Z) MALA, LItem NHC Notes Management(2020-09-30T11:00:27Z) R J Mohan, BabuItem A Project Report on CANOPY(2020-09-30T11:03:27Z) Ujwala, NItem A Project Report on Detecting Malicious Apps(2020-09-30T11:06:24Z) Naveen, VItem A Project Report on Avoid Unwanted Contents in File(2020-09-30T11:08:41Z) Nikhil, JItem A Project Report on Online Auction System(2020-09-30T11:10:18Z) S Padma, Priya
