To know about the welfare measures adopted by the company in accordance with the up gradation of technologies.Item Entry Level Marketing Strategy For ITC to Enter RTC (Ready to Cook) Industry(2015-12-11T05:46:24Z) Sandeep Kumar, P.UThe Project “A STUDY ON ENTRY LEVEL MARKETING STRATEGY FOR ITC TO ENTER RTC (Ready to cook) INDUSTRY” was done at ITC ltd. Bangalore, with a view to find out the factors which a customer considers before purchasing a ready to cook consumable product and also to achieve the objectives of determining existing competitors strategy in ready to cook food industry. Since RTC industry is still in infancy stage in India, ITC has no prior experience in this industry. This project will help the company to design entry level marketing strategy in RTC industry, with a view to give an edge over existing competitors in this industry. The research was restricted to only people within the age group of 18-45 since the study mainly concentrates on this particular age group who are most likely to consume ready to cook products and will form the major bulk of customers. The sample size was 100 respondents. Convenient sampling technique was carried out. The study is restricted to Bangalore and was focused on only ID fresh. Questionnaires and direct interviews were used to collect primary data. Likert Scale was used to scale the responses. The Analytical Techniques used to analyse & interpret data was Microsoft Excel. The findings were that majority of the respondents were 18-45 years old and most of the respondents used the brand ID fresh. The respondents considered price, quality, availability, quantity offered in the package and freshness as important parameters. The respondents considered the factors namely brand name, easy to cook and quality on a very important factor/ parameter. The major suggestions made to the company were that the advertisements & promotional activities have to be aggressive in order to deal with existing competitors.Item A Study on Risk Management in ULIPS Fund(2015-12-11T06:09:16Z) Priyadarshini, PThe challenge for fund managers today is to help their companies move to a position of lower risks but higher returns. Fund managers are also under severe pressure to manage the funds invested in the stock market which is very volatile. The pressure on the fund managers is very intense that they need to report to the top management on daily/weekly basis regarding the composition of the allocation of funds in the market. On the other hand, the investor often decides their investment decision on the basis of the funds being allocated in the particular market and their rate of financial returns. Hence there comes a need for the study of the Value-at-Risk (VaR). The objective of my project is to find out the maximum loss of each ULIP funds to be incurred in the future influencing the paramount interest of the investor to achieve the maximum financial returns. Objectives of the study is to Analyze the financial performance with the help of different types of Ratios which are derived using the Financial Statement of Company. To study the efficiency of the Company in managing the asset employed by the company. To seek and analyze the reason/factors responsible for the financial performance of the company. Ratio Analysis is not an end in itself. It is only a means to better understanding of the financial strengths and weakness of a firm. Calculation of mere ratio does not serve any purpose, unless the ratios are analyzed and interpreted from the information given in the Financial Statements, keeping in the mind the objectives of the analysis. The study is being conducted for Bharat Earth Movers Limited. The study will give an overall view of the Organization and functioning of Finance Department in particular. Work life naturally means the life of workers, physical and intellectual, in their work environment in office or factory or field-working. What is expected of the worker? What are the conditions of the work place? What is the compensation that the worker gets? What are the incentives offered to him? How about his contentment with the work environment and the compensation? These are the questions to be tackled by the Researcher in any study of work life. Quality of work Life is a Person’s life. It covers a person’s feelings about every dimension of work including economic rewards and benefits, security, working condition, Organizational and interpersonal relations and its intrinsic meaning in person’s life. The main objective of the study is to know about the “A study on employee work- life balance in Invensys Skelta Pvt Ltd”. A testing has been done to know at what extent work life balance would help in analysing and to identify the factors that affects the quality of life of employees and the career and family and also to understand the current policies and practices relating to employees working conditions and its effect on work-life balance. Work life balance is important and is an essential activity. The project is divided into five chapters, chapter one and two indicates the introduction, objectives, need, scope of the study, literature review, limitations of the study, industry profile, company profile, vision, mission, quality policy. Chapter three indicates theoretical background of the study. Chapter four is about analysis and interpretation of data, findings, suggestions and conclusion. It has created formats, which provide all items under one roof at low rates, or so it claims. In this project, we will study its marketing strategies and promotional activities. The research titled „A Study on Effectiveness of Promotional Strategies with reference to Big Bazaar(OMR)‟ helps us to understand the effect of promotional strategy which is responsible for attracting customer towards big bazaar This study helpful to top level management to improve the present promotional strategy of BIG BAZAAR. The report deals with the impact of promotional activity which attracting customer towards big bazaar. The research was carried out as per the steps of Marketing Research. The well supportive objectives were set for the study. To meet the objectives primary research was undertaken. The data collection approach adopted was experimental research & survey research. The instrument used for the data collection was observation & questionnaire. The target respondents were the visitors of BIG BAZAAR, with the sample size of 100 for the study of sales management of the company. Tables & charts were used to translate responses into meaningful information to get the most out of the collected data. Based on those the inferences have been drawn with peer supportive data. Major Findings and suggestions:Most of the consumers are attracted to the promotional strategies made by the advertising/radio this is been the major mode of communication between the firm and final consumption. Female customers are difficult to convince when it comes to BBPC so Big Bazaar needs to bring some alternative in attracting them. The data collected by two sources i.e. Primary and secondary data. Primary data collected with the direct interactions with the officials and secondary data was collected with the help of past records, company websites and other magazines etc. Industry profile also prepared to know how the retail sector came into existence and the share of the retail sector in India. Company profile contains Promoters, Vision, and Mission and Quality Policy, Product profile, Competitors information, SWOT analysis, Future growth and prospects. While preparing this report it has been tried to reveal the insights of the study and a few recommendations and suggestions were also prescribed based on the observations and findings. I have also applied few research tools like questionnaire and survey methods to obtain the information from the respondents and thereby have analyzed the factor by using column chart. As part of my project programme I got a chance to work at this area for a period of 10 weeks. During this period I have learned about this company and its work environment.
