Item CLAY 3D PRINTING USING BOWDEN EXTRUSION TECHNIQUE(2019-06-13T07:18:32Z) SURAJ R; NANDITHA S; GATTU RAGHUNADHAMAdditive manufacturing technology advancements includes the improvement of a threedimensional item by setting down progressive layers of material over one another. It is a type of Rapid Prototyping, where the three-dimensional model outline is converted into directions and is sent from a PC to a printer. Blueprints are translated into commands, in formats such as the G-Code format. The computer sends these G-Codes to the printer over a serial connection between the computer and the printer. At the other end, the printer interprets the commands sent by the computer and triggers movement using the motors accordingly. 3D printers developed for various applications use different materials. One of the most popular materials used for 3D printers everywhere, is plastic. Further, there are mainly two types of plastics used. In this application, the material used is taken to be semi-solid clay. Clay is chosen as the material because of its eco-friendly nature. Extrusion techniques are the techniques that are used at the extruder block of a 3D printer. Bowden extrusion is the method in which the filament or material is stored separately from the printer. Since clay is a relatively heavy material, when compared to plastics, Bowden extrusion technique is a more practical implementation of a Clay 3D printer.Item PLANT GROWTH AND MONITORING SYSTEM(2019-06-13T07:25:14Z) HARIRAJ R; GOUTHAM R; SURYA VThis project aims to grow plants in a controlled environment agriculture technology platform that uses robotic systems to control and monitor climate, energy and plant growth inside a specialized growing chamber. The undoing of these imperfections is critical to many of the successive image processing tasks .There exists a huge range of different degradations, which should be taken into account, for example noise, geometrical degradations, illumination and color imperfections (under-exposure/over-exposure, saturation) and blur. The area of image restoration (sometimes referred to as image deblurring or image deconvolution) is concerned with the reconstruction or estimation of the uncorrupted image from a blurred and noisy image. Essentially, it tries to perform an operation on the image which is the inverse of the imperfections in the image formation system. In the use of image restoration methods, the characteristics of the degrading system and the noise are assumed to be known. The aim of this work is to provide a concise overview of most useful restoration models .Different types of image restoration techniques like Wiener filter, Inverse filter, Regularized filter and Richardson–Lucy algorithm are described and strength and weakness of each approach are identified. In this project we have designed different filters namely Weiner, gaussian, median , regularised, inverse , Lucy Richardson, and adaptive Gaussian the noise is removed by applying the filtering methods mentioned above.Item IMPLEMENTATION OF SPACE VECTOR PULSE WIDTH MODULATION FOR INVERTERS USING MATLAB AND SIMULINK(2019-06-13T10:40:49Z) AKHIL CHOWDARY M; BUJJA AJAY; T S HIMAKEERTHIInverters produce an AC output waveform from a DC source. Three-phase Voltage Source Inverters (VSIs) are used in applications that require sinusoidal voltage waveforms of variable magnitude as well as variabl frequency. These inverters are controlled using control techniques like Sinusoidal PWM (SPWM) and Spac Vector PWM (SVPWM). SVPWM is a sophisticated control technique for generating a fundamental sine wave that provides a higher voltage to the motor and lower total harmonic distortion (THD). Such sophisticated control algorithms become easier to be implement with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) as one of the fundamental advantage is the freedom of parallelism as different parts of FPGA can b configured to perform independent functions simultaneously. The objective of the project is to design and implement a three phase voltage source inverter using SVPWM control algorithm. The two level inverter topology is implemented on Field Programmabl Gate Array(FPGA) is used for implementing SVPWM control algorithm. The control circuit is designed usin an innovative methodology which significantly reduces the complexity of SVPWM implementation. The designed system is tested on a three phase induction motor. The designed system is simulated using MATLAB Simulink software and obtained results ar tested against expected output and verified to be consistent. The MU-MIMO plays an essential role in enhancing the channel capacity and data rates.MU-MIMO offers benefits even when enabled with a single receiving antenna in terms of higher spatial multiplexing gain. Spatially multiplexed MIMO (SM-MIMO) systems can transmit data at a higher speed than MIMO systems using antenna diversity techniques [6-7]. By using MU-MIMO, the complexity of processing the signals as well as cost of hardware implementation is reduced tremendously without compromising on the multiplexing gain [7-8]. Channel hardening will occur as the number of base station antenna increases. Since channel vectors are orthogonal in the case of MU-MIMO, with simple signal processing the effects of multi-user interference can be eliminated [9-11].Item FARMBOT(2019-06-13T10:53:29Z) SHILPA V; SIDHARTH P; JANARDHAN S PThis project aims to develop a CNC Mechanized Farming Robot which enables to perform simpler task in most efficient way and to preserve the data in the storage devices for future development and advancement. This raises a concern to many developed and developing nations with the demand in immediate increase of electricity. People are unaware of energy consumed by various appliances. An electricity meter is a device that measures the amount of electric energy consumed by various electrical appliances. The main drawback of previously used traditional meters is that they do not provide information to the consumers, which is accomplished with the help of Talking Energy Meter. As power consumption is increasing day by day there should be more focus on understanding consumption patterns. Traditional electromechanical energy meters are now replaced by electronic meters in domestic as well as commercial applications. This project is aims to design a circuit which helps the consumer in taking care of the electrical energy consumption. This system helps the users by alerting them about the billing status and unit consumption. The “Talking Energy Meter” using ATMEGA328 Micro-controller is an exclusive system which is used to help the deaf and dumb people to announce their requirements using voice module aPR33A3. This is achieved to reduce the inter symbol interference and cross talk between signals. Large numbers of orthogonal sub carriers that are closely spaced are used to carry the data on several parallel data streams. High bandwidth efficiency and less interference between the closely spaced carriers are achieved by orthogonality. The conventional OFDM system uses Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) as their basic building block. FFT uses cyclic prefix to reduce the inter symbol interference which reduces the spectral efficiency. In order to overcome these disadvantages, we use Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DTCWT) replacing FFT. We analyze and compare the Bit Error Rate (BER) and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) performance of DWT OFDM, DTCWT OFDM and FFT OFDM. BER is the percentage of bits with errors divided by the total number of bits that are transmitted or received over a given time period. The working of DTCWT is analyzed using one of its properties and implemented using Verilog.Item WASTE SEGREGATION USING SMART DUSTBIN(2019-06-14T07:09:30Z) PAVAN KUMAR S; V HARSHA VARDHAN REDDY; D VEDAVATHI KIRANMAIThe main objective of project is to sort wastes into three different categories, namely metal, dry and the wet waste. Waste segregation means division of waste into dry waste and wet waste. Dry waste includes paper, cardboard, glass tin cans etc. Wet waste on the other hand, refers to organic waste such as vegetable peels, left-over food etc. Separating waste is essential as the amount of waste being generated today causes immense problem. We have proposed the system for segregation of waste using 8051 microcontroller. Waste is pushed onto conveyer belt, the presence of waste is first identified by use of Infra-red sensor at start end of the conveyor belt, the waste moves further for detection with proximity sensor to detect it is metal. If it is detected metal, electromagnet rotates to in a direction to collect the metallic waste and is dropped into dustbin else the conveyer belt moves further, now the moisture sensor detects the wet waste and it is dropped into another dustbin. If the waste present is neither metallic waste nor wet waste conveyer is moved further and the waste is dropped into the dry bin. The rotational bins comes back to dry bin by default. The type of waste detected is displayed on the LCD display.Item “Hybrid Beamforming for Massive MU MIMO-OFDM Systems(2019-06-14T07:14:42Z) VEDA J; RACHITHA M R; PUNARVA A5G networks are envisioned to ease the burden on the current infrastructure by offering significantly higher data rates through increased channel bandwidths.Presently, all wireless technologies are operating in 300MHz to 3 GHz band. Due to the shortage of available frequencies traditionally used for mobile communications, mm-wave bands is an alternative. The key essence of 5G wireless networks lies in exploration of high-frequency mmWave band ranging from 3 GHz to 300 GHz. The large bandwidth available at these frequencies helps to offer data rates that satisfy 5G demands. But the mobile environment at these mm-wave bands is far more complex than at the currently used frequencies. Higher propagation losses that greatly vary depending on the environment require an updated network infrastructure and new hardware concepts. Beamforming antenna arrays will play an important role in 5G implementations because even handsets can accommodate a larger number of antenna elements at mm-wave frequencies. Apart from a higher directive gain, these antenna types offer complex beamforming capabilities. Millimeter-wave bands potentially enable high bandwidths. To limit the use of these high frequencies is a result of adverse propagation effects in particular due to obstacles in the LoS.Item DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF 16*16 MULTIPLIER USING VEDIC MATHEMATICS(2019-06-14T07:19:37Z) PRIYANKA MILTON; PAVANA M; LAVANYA C YThis project describes the Urdhva-Tiryagbhyam Sutra of vedic mathematics and we have designed multiplier based on this sutra. Vedic Mathematics was described by Sri Bharti and it is an ancient method of mathematics which has a unique technique of calculations based on 16 Sutras which are discovered by Sri Bharti Krishna Tirthaji. In this era , it is required to increase the speed of the digital circuits so that reduces the on chip area and memory consumption. Most of the digital signal processing application, multiplication is one of the key component. Vedic technique of calculation eliminates the unwanted multiplication steps thus reduces the propagation delay in processor this in turn reduces the hardware complexity in terms of area and memory requirement. We excute the basic building block: 16 × 16 Vedic multiplier based on Urdhva-Tiryagbhyam Sutra. This Vedic multiplier is coded using VHDL and synthesized and simulated by using Xilinx ISE 10.1. Next the design of array multiplier in VHDL is compared with proposed multiplier in terms of speed and memory.
