    Training has been a vital component for the growth of retail sector employees .India's retail sector appears backward not only by the standards of industrialized countries but also in comparison with several other emerging markets in Asia and elsewhere in terms of service given by the sales Team.The Indian retail market is estimated to be US$ 450 billion and one of the top five retail markets in the world by economic value. India is one of the fastest growing retail market in the world, with 1.2 billion people. Retail market is growing, not only in terms of numbers but also in terms of stature, image and class. Today customers are changing and their expectations are rising, they are demanding world class service.To meet such challenging demands the sales force has to be well equipped with good soft skills ,updated with the latest technology (bearing in mind the necessity of keeping the human element in place because technology in itself, is cold, impersonal and not at all customer friendly) will ensure that brand marketers are able to keep pace in a dynamic world. Increased competition ,e-commerce ,mobile commerce ,needs innovative skills and developed soft skills of the sales team to help the retail stores aim their high sales targets

    The Digitization of Word-of-Mouth in Travel and Tourism

    The research paper investigates the influence of hotel guest reviews on customer hotel preferences in the context of online hotels’ booking applying a conjoint design. The empirical research shows that the subjects’ willingness to pay is significantly higher than their reference price for hotels. In addition to that, the results of this study indicate that reviews on the hotel in general and on the hotel’s rooms are perceived the most useful for consumers reading reviews.

    Evaluating the information technology enablers in travel and Tourism industry

    The information technology (IT) is found to be a significant predictor of travel and tourism (T&T) competitiveness. The paper begins with a literature review to investigate the IT enablers in the Indian T&T sector. The purpose of the research paper is to identify the IT growth enablers of the Travel and tourism (T&T) in India. This paper also establishes a hierarchical relationship among the IT enablers affecting the growth of T&T. Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) has been utilised to identify how these enablers are related. The IT growth enablers are also modelled to find their role and mutual influence. This research will also help to formulate the strategies to overcome challenges in T&T industry. The research found that the dependent enablers are Individual usage, Economic Impacts, Social Impacts and Market Environment. Independent enablers are Skills, Political and Regulatory framework, Business and innovation environment, Infrastructure and digital content, Affordability and Business usage. The Government is an autonomous enabler. No enabler is linkage.

    Removal of Entry Load On Mutual Fund Schemes – Impact On Net New Money

    Retail investors have nice time to enjoy the initiation taken by the market regulator SEBI i.e. removal of entry load on all mutual fund schemes. In any case this norm does not affect the investment style of investors who invest more than Rs. 5 crores but truly bring change in the investment style of retail category. This act by market regulator brings in certain amount of advantages as well as disadvantages to the core participants say investors, distributors, government and obviously mutual fund. This study basically proposes to analyze the impact of removal of entry load on NNM of mutual fund industry as a whole because NNM is the prime barometer for any scheme. In order to understand whether the removal of entry load has significant impact on NNM or insignificant, ANOVA and Levene statistic have been used to test the assumption and found that removal of entry load does not have significant impact on the Net New Money.

This study is undertaken to know if the employees are satisfied with the current performance appraisal methods and practices .This study has been conducted on employees of BOSCH. The performance appraisal system is one of the most critical areas in the field of human resource management. Despite the increasing research done by behaviour scientists, man still remains a very complex person, however, at the same time capable of extremely high performance levels,given the proper environment and motivation.
