Study on Working Capital Management

Working capital is a financial metric which represents operating liquidity available to a business, organization or other entity, including governmental entities. Along with fixed assets such as plant and equipment, working capital is considered a part of operating capital. Gross working capital is equal to current assets. Working capital is calculated as current assets minus liabilities. If current assets are less than current liabilities, an entity has a working capital deficiency, also called a working capital deficit. The objective of the study- to study working capital concept, to see how day to day operations in the company take place, to study working capital management process, to know liquidity position and solvency position. Scope of the study -for day to day operation, to meet its debts, to increase sales target. Mythologies adopted- secondary data is adopted and Microsoft excel is used as analytical tool Limitations of the study -time constraints, limited to working capital
