The system this project focus on is capable of interacting with mobile application and with the help of GPS it can reach given destination. The entire project is split into two parts: hardware and software. Hardware focus on circuit design, interfacing of component, whereas software part is used for mapping and building android applications required to choose the destination by the user. Few of the pre-assumptions on which this project stands on are: It is mainly built for guiding the way and give directions within a campus, the campus is also assumed to be large where there will be footpaths. The vehicle is mainly built to assist the people who are new to the campus by directing them to take proper routes to reach the destination block. This system takes help of OSRM (abbreviated as Open Source Routing Machine) for directing the vehicle. Three main factors any autonomous vehicle depend on is Localization, Planning of path from source to destination and Vehicle control.Item BIDIRECTIONAL VISITING SENSING DEVICE WITH REMOTE DATABASE INTEGRATION”(2019-06-18T10:02:25Z) EKTA SHUKLA; S KRITHIKA; SHIVANI KUMARIThe main objective of our project is to build a bidirectional visitor sensing device using a Node MCU with Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity). This system is designed and presented in order to count the visitors of the auditorium, classrooms or other places where the visitors have to be counted and controlled. Depending on the interrupt from the sensors, the system identifies the entry and exit from the visitors. The basic functionality of the device is to count the number of students entering the classrooms at any prescribed hour. When a person enters the room the counter is incremented by one and when the person leaves the counter is decremented by one .The total number of students will be displayed on the LCD display. Our project also logs the data of the students along with the faculty and the subject in that particular hour into the cloud server. The data on the cloud is represented in a user readable format and hence expected to alert the faculty on the count of the students and other required details. The system also facilitates the plotting of graph for the particular day or the month. This is an economical cost reducing system which can be implemented where the visitors have to be monitored and makes it more efficient to make a count in the organisations. The MU-MIMO plays an essential role in enhancing the channel capacity and data rates.MU-MIMO offers benefits even when enabled with a single receiving antenna in terms of higher spatial multiplexing gain. Spatially multiplexed MIMO (SM-MIMO) systems can transmit data at a higher speed than MIMO systems using antenna diversity techniques [6-7]. By using MU-MIMO, the complexity of processing the signals as well as cost of hardware implementation is reduced tremendously without compromising on the multiplexing gain [7-8]. Channel hardening will occur as the number of base station antenna increases. Since channel vectors are orthogonal in the case of MU-MIMO, with simple signal processing the effects of multi-user interference can be eliminated [9-11].Item CLAY 3D PRINTING USING BOWDEN EXTRUSION TECHNIQUE(2019-06-13T07:18:32Z) SURAJ R; NANDITHA S; GATTU RAGHUNADHAMAdditive manufacturing technology advancements includes the improvement of a threedimensional item by setting down progressive layers of material over one another. It is a type of Rapid Prototyping, where the three-dimensional model outline is converted into directions and is sent from a PC to a printer. Blueprints are translated into commands, in formats such as the G-Code format. The computer sends these G-Codes to the printer over a serial connection between the computer and the printer. At the other end, the printer interprets the commands sent by the computer and triggers movement using the motors accordingly. 3D printers developed for various applications use different materials. One of the most popular materials used for 3D printers everywhere, is plastic. Further, there are mainly two types of plastics used. In this application, the material used is taken to be semi-solid clay. Clay is chosen as the material because of its eco-friendly nature. Extrusion techniques are the techniques that are used at the extruder block of a 3D printer. Bowden extrusion is the method in which the filament or material is stored separately from the printer. Since clay is a relatively heavy material, when compared to plastics, Bowden extrusion technique is a more practical implementation of a Clay 3D printer.Item DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF mm-WAVE ANTENNA USING SIW TECHNOLOGY(2019-06-17T10:46:55Z) NIRMAL ANAND; SURAJ DAVIS; VIRUPAKSHA S BSubstrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) technology allows the construction of several different types of planar antennas. However, when integrated with active components which require DC biasing, it is often the case that the top and ground plane are short-circuited due to the existence of the metallic vias that connect them. Corrugated SIW (CSIW) is proposed to remedy this. CSIW completely swaps out the vias in favour of quarter-wavelength microstrip stubs called “corrugations”. With the absence of a connecting conducting surface between the top and ground plane, the possibility of a shot-circuit is eliminated while still maintaining TE10 type boundary conditions. In this project, a configuration of Microstrip fed CSIW Slot Antenna is proposed and studied. The slots are designed in the top of the CSIW to achieve radiation by interrupting the current flow. The antenna works in the 77 GHz frequency range and is verified and evaluated by Ansys HFSS simulation.Item “Design and Development of an Eye Blink Algorithm to Assist MND Patients to Communicate”(2019-06-17T10:03:02Z) GREESHMA R; DEEXITH S; LOKESHARAO VMotor Neuron Disease (MND) is a medical condition where the motor neurons of the patient are paralyzed and it is incurable. It also leads to weakness of muscles with respect to hand, feet or voice. Because of this, the patient cannot perform his voluntary actions and it is very difficult for the patients to express his needs. And even the patient face major problem like he won’t be able to communicate with the world. A motor nerve gets damaged and stops working eventually in MND. Thus, the nerves that are damaged connected to the muscles lose the strength eventually. There are several subtypes. In every type, the symptoms that the patients face are in different ways. As the disease promotes, these symptoms of MND lean to overlap. There are many methods introduced for the motor neuron disease patients to communicate with the outside world. Such as Brain wave technique and Electro-oculography. In these techniques, electrodes are pierced through the epidermis of the skin. Thus this method is painful and the patient will be conscious and uncomfortable. And there exists the idea to develop an eye-motion detection system for the paralysis patients.Item DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF 16*16 MULTIPLIER USING VEDIC MATHEMATICS(2019-06-14T07:19:37Z) PRIYANKA MILTON; PAVANA M; LAVANYA C YThis project describes the Urdhva-Tiryagbhyam Sutra of vedic mathematics and we have designed multiplier based on this sutra. Vedic Mathematics was described by Sri Bharti and it is an ancient method of mathematics which has a unique technique of calculations based on 16 Sutras which are discovered by Sri Bharti Krishna Tirthaji. Due to the shortage of available frequencies traditionally used for mobile communications, mm-wave bands is an alternative. The key essence of 5G wireless networks lies in exploration of high-frequency mmWave band ranging from 3 GHz to 300 GHz. The large bandwidth available at these frequencies helps to offer data rates that satisfy 5G demands. But the mobile environment at these mm-wave bands is far more complex than at the currently used frequencies. Higher propagation losses that greatly vary depending on the environment require an updated network infrastructure and new hardware concepts. Beamforming antenna arrays will play an important role in 5G implementations because even handsets can accommodate a larger number of antenna elements at mm-wave frequencies. Apart from a higher directive gain, these antenna types offer complex beamforming capabilities. Millimeter-wave bands potentially enable high bandwidths. To limit the use of these high frequencies is a result of adverse propagation effects in particular due to obstacles in the LoS.Item Implementation of Fractal Image Compression with GUI”(2019-06-18T09:55:26Z) SNEHA S; THANUJA A; SREE RENUKAKSHITHA JFractal image compression is a lossy compression method for digital images based on fractals rather than pixels, which are best suited for textures and natural images,it works on self-similarity property in various fractions of images, relying on the fact that parts of an image often ressemble other parts of the same image. It takes long encoding time and affects the image quality. This code introduces an improved model integrating quantized quad trees and Huffman coding used for fractal image compression.Quantized quad tree method divides the quantized original gray level and color image into various blocks depending on a threshold value besides the properties of the features presented in image.Huffman coding is applied for improving compression quality.Simulation results shows that the quantized quad trees and Huffman coding improved compression ratio and quality derived from the fractal image compression with range block.Different quantitative measures can be found by passing images of different format and dimensions.
