Item Comparative Analysis of Multipath Routing Algorithms for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks(2013-10-08T07:09:37Z) Divya, Sharma; Ishani, Mishra,A MANET is an interconnection of mobile devices by wireless links, which forms a dynamic topology. Routing protocols play a vital role in transmission of data across the network. Multipath routing allows the establishment of multiple paths between a pair of source and destination node in mobile ad hoc network. It is typically proposed in order to increase the reliability of data transmission or to provide load balancing and has received more and more attentions. In this paper we have compared & evaluated the performance of three multipath algorithms namely AOMDV, MSR and MDART on different parameters such as throughput and delay.Item Investigational Study of 7 Effective Schemes of Load Balancing in Cloud Computing(2014-01-06T08:24:37Z) Suriya, Begum; Prashanth, C.S.RWith the exponential increase in demands of online applications and services, cloud computing has evolved as a boon in modern information technology. Built over the base of grid and distributed computing, cloud computing offers services to cater the dynamic needs of massive user base. However, with the novelty associated with the system, cloud computing is also associated with certain issues like availability, cost, load balancing, security and performance. Very recently in last three years there has been abundant set of research work conducted aiming at mitigating the issues connected to load balancing in cloud computing. This paper discusses 7 efficient techniques that has been evolved in the past as a solution for load balancing issues in cloud computing.Item Review of Load Balancing in Cloud Computing(2013-04-25T08:38:23Z) Suriya, Begum; Prashanth, C.S.RWith the exponential rise in the demands of the clients worldwide, a large scale distributed systems have been introduced as a computing environment. Cloud computing has paved a revolutionary path in this direction of distributed environment for accomplishing optimized performance, shortest response time, network resource utilization, and adaptability of service level agreement. Cloud computing has multiple benefits as well as it is also accompanied with certain serious technical loopholes. The proposed paper has focused on one such issue of load balancing. The consequences of inefficient load balancing may lead to detritions of an organization business performance on cloud environment. Hence this paper illustrates various aspects pertaining to domain of cloud computing, its evolution, its generic issues, and particularly to issues related to load balancing. Various techniques adopted in the past research work have been analyzed and the findings were illustrated in this paper.Item Survey on power management techniques :green computing(2013-05-31T06:18:00Z) Beena, B.M; Prashanth, CSR; Sonika, Reddy. P; Chandan, HKSAs cloud computing becomes widespread, the energy consumption of the network and computing resources that support the cloud would grow. The energy requirements of data centers in the near future is expected to be in the range of mega watts and would contribute significantly to the economic viability of cloud computing. Developing power-aware task scheduling algorithms for parallel applications executing on cloud platforms would be critical for success of cloud computing. There are two task-scheduling techniques proposed to reduce power consumption in cloud computing systems namely static power management scheduling technique and dynamic power management scheduling techniques. The basic idea of static power management is to calculate beforehand the minimum processor speed that will ensure that the canonical execution of tasks finishes just-in-time. In addition to static power management, the energy can further be reduced by dynamic power management technique in which the processor supply voltage and speed are always adjusted together, by setting the maximum speed under certain supply voltage. The tasks are then run with reduced supply voltage and speed to save energy Both the techniques have advantages and disadvantages. Power aware computing is one of the primary goals in building a new system. By power aware computing, we mean to optimize energy and power consumption as much as possible without compromising much on performance.
