We have many choices like lpg,cng with their drawbacks. Due to which it is complicated to use them. Among various options acetylene gas is a very good fuel for automobiles but it also has many shortcomings which are needed to be studied before using. The paper investigates the changes required to be done for running a ic engine on acetylene produced on-board by a decomposition reaction of calcium carbide with water in presence of aluminum powder. Thus reducing the running cost and minimum pollutant emission, which makes it fit for use on economic and environment standard. It is more eco-friendly fuel option.Item Advanced Automotive Fault Diagnosis(2020-02-27T07:18:30Z) Denton, TomItem Advanced Vehicle Technology(2020-02-25T12:08:22Z) Heisler, HeinzItem Aerodynamics Analysis of Commercial Vehicles(2020-08-27T11:15:20Z) YETHIN N, REDDY; N A, BHEEMAIAH; NANDEESH, MAs we a whole realize the fuel costs particularly the petroleum is raising consistently step by step. Again, the aerodynamics of a vehicle contributes a lot to the fuel consumption are expanding consistently. There is no uncertainty that the aerodynamic forces leads to drag in the vehicles, hence to defeat these issues, an exertion is being made to look through some other elective wellsprings of vitality for the vehicles. Advancing utilization of aerodynamics increases the safety of the vehicle and also reduces the lag in the vehicles. Consequently, in olden day’s aerodynamics were not given that importance as given today. Aerodynamics of any vehicles is very vital role, there are a lot of measures taken and calculated during the modeling and analysis of any designing of automobile. It is a major part of any automobile Ergonomics. The point of present investigation is to find out about various kinds of vitality, software’s used to design, model and analysis of aerodynamics about a particular automobile The aerodynamics analysis on a vehicle has become a major concern nowadays. This is due to its effect on vehicle driving characteristics, fuel consumption. These studies will analysis the aerodynamics characteristics of a multi-purpose vehicle generic design using ANSYS Workbench. Fluent is utilized in this study in order to investigate the aerodynamics of generic MPV design, attaining coefficient of drag and lift and observing the airflow streamline across the body of the vehicle. The turbulence modeling selected is realizable with enhanced wall treatment. This study can be used as reference for car manufacturers and designers especially when designing a multi-purpose vehicle design.Item Air Pollution Control theory(2019-02-11T12:51:45Z) Crawform, MartinItem Air Pollution Control Theory(2020-02-28T09:24:02Z) Martin, CrawfordItem Alcohol Detection System in Automobiles(2018-08-03T09:55:10Z) Jay Prakash Kumar, Sah; Priyesh, Roy; S.G.M, Aftab; Syed, AdnanDriving under the influence of alcohol is a major cause of accidents. There has been enormous advancement in automobile technologies over past and still to come, however accidents are still happening around us, especially in case of drunken drivers. Lack of enforcement of rules is also a major contributor.Item Alternative Fuels for Road Vehicles(2016-02-22T07:44:13Z) Poulton M LItem Alternative Fuels for Road Vehicles(2020-02-28T09:26:25Z) M L, PoultonItem Analysis and Simulation of Quarter Car Suspension System(2017-10-11T06:40:03Z) A.B., RAHUL; BIKASH KUMAR, MISHRA; SHIVA KUMAR, .M; P.M., UTHAPPAThe purpose of a vehicle suspension system is to improve ride comfort and road handling. In this project work, the suspension system of quarter car model is analysed, simulated using mathematical equations, and MATLAB Simulink. Only Passive suspension system of Quarter car model with two degrees of freedom is considered. Since, the equations of the system is difficult to solve mathematically, a scheme in Matlab Simulink is developed that allows simulation and analysis of the behaviour of the suspension. Different signal inputs like step, sine, and pulse generator are used as standard inputs for the simulink model. The schema that was created in Matlab Simulink, were compared with the State space model and the Transfer function. The results from the graph enable to understand the performance of the vibratory system, in terms of settling time.Item Analysis of Vehicle Vibration Signals and Its Effect on Human Health(2018-08-03T10:01:26Z) Jeo, Philipji; Sagar, Prajapati; Jaikumar, S; Vinod, SToday ride comfort plays an important role in the vehicle design as well. Whole-body vibration(WBV) transmission influences comfort, performance and health condition of the passenger. In present days, passengers spend a considerable amount of time for travelling. Due to long travel, passengers may have to face for some health issues such as fatigue, back injuries, vomiting etc. Objectives of this study is to investigate frequency ranges which will affect the ride comfort of the passengers and to develop a relationship between whole body vibration and ride comfort. A test was carried out on different types vehicle on particular type of road for around 15-20 minutes using tri-axial accelerometer and Arduino Nano placed between the interface of vehicle and human body. The obtained readings from the experiment was used in MATLAB software to find out RMS value and plot FFT graph. The RMS value was compared with the standard ISO2631 to know the quality of ride. The peak frequency obtained from the plot of FFT is compared with the chart of resonance frequency of human body parts.
