Item Analysis of Frequency Stability for Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO)(2019-07-22T06:35:07Z) BHAVAN, N; NAVEEN, KUMAR S; PRABHU, K; PRAMOD, KUMARQuartz crystal based oscillators are used as clock sources in the synchronization and synchronization of distributed systems to a common time or frequency scale. One such system is that of a cellular network in which base station transceivers are operated within a specified time or frequency accuracy with reference to a system reference. The accuracy of the entrainment of the distributed clocks to the reference clock is subject to the design of the servo control system. In the event the servo fails the slave clock accuracy is a function of the local environmental and electrical stimuli applied to the clock. As loss of the servo signal is a practical issue in a real system, this ultimate system entrainment accuracy is dependent on the accuracy with which the free running clocks can be corrected. It is the subject of the current paper to review the fundamental physical properties of crystal oscillators and in so doing determine all significant frequency perturbing stimuli. Identification and quantification of these stimuli in terms of analytical expressions is the first stage in the creation of an accurate clock model suitable for compensation of the clock in the absence of the servo signal from the reference. Thus a fundamental understanding of the parameters affecting the clock drift becomes paramount to determining the overall synchronization accuracy achievable by the system. For decades, the quartz crystal has been used for precise frequency control. In the increasingly popular field of wireless communications, available frequency spectrum is becoming very limited, and therefore regulatory agencies have imposed tight frequency stability requirements. There are generally two techniques for controlling the stability of a crystal oscillator with temperature variations of the environment. They are temperature control and temperature compensation.Item AUTOMATED GLASS CLEANER(2019-08-13T10:30:50Z) Gaurav Sharma; Naimish Kumar Bareek; Nikhil Prajapati; Shubham YadavThe project presents a simple idea of an automatic glass cleaning system that can reduce the wastage of water during the process of cleaning. This system would take the used glasses inside, clean them and stack them. The entire process is controlled by PLC. When a glass is kept on a conveyor belt, this is sensed by a sensor (say proximity sensor – inductive type) and the conveyor starts moving. The glass reaches a section where it is washed. One after the other all the glasses go through the process of washing and each glass is stacked below the conveyor.Item Automatic Calibration Setup for Controller Test Rig(2019-07-22T10:11:53Z) Abhinam, Karn; Ganesh, D; Harsh, Kumar; Sachin, ADigital Controller is a safety critical system which needs to be subjected to various input and output signal interface checks. In order to functionally prepare the digital controller for further integration with Aero Engines, an extensive testing of all the controller interfaces is required. A Test Rig has been developed to thoroughly test all the controller interfaces. Engine Transducer Emulator (ETE) PC is used for emulation of engine transducer interface signals. The rig used for testing needs to be calibrated on a regular basis to maintain the correctness of testing. All the transducer interface emulators are calibrated against a working standard - a High End Digital Multimeter (DMM). For easy and speedy calibration of the Emulators the calibration setup has to be automated. GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) communication is established between the DMM and the ETE PC so that the DMM can be automatically configured to measure the respective output of different transducer interfaces i.e. Speed, Pressure and Temperature. Simultaneously it is required to switch the DMM connection from one interface to another. A PCI Based Relay Matrix Card and a Reed Relay Card are used for the switching between the interfaces which is a part of the ETE PC. LabVIEW based programs have to be developed to fully automate the calibration process and to generate a report for the calibration performed. LabVIEW is used because of its feature to produce Graphical User Interface.Item AUTOMATIC POWER FACTOR CORRECTION(2019-07-23T06:13:50Z) G VIKAS; KAUSTUV MAJUMDER; MALAR R; SUMA MIn ielectrical iplants, ithe iloads idraw ifrom ithe inetwork ielectric ipower i(active) ias ipower isupply isource i(e.g. ipersonal icomputers, iprinters, idiagnostic iequipment, ietc.) ior iconvert iit iinto iother iform iof ienergy i(e.g. ielectrical ilamps ior istoves) ior iinto imechanical ioutput i(e.g. ielectrical imotors). iTo iget ithis, iit iis ioften inecessary ithat ithe iload iexchanges iwith ithe inetwork i(with inet inull iconsumption) iand ithe ireactive ienergy iis iproduced imainly ifrom iinductive itype. iThis ienergy, ieven iif inot iimmediately iconverted iinto iother iforms, icontributes ito iincrease ithe itotal ipower iflowing ithrough iin ithe ielectrical inetwork, ifrom ithe igenerators, iall ialong ithe iconductors, ito ithe iusers. iTo ismooth isuch inegative ieffect, ithe ipower ifactor icorrection iof ithe ielectrical iplants iis icarried iout. iThe ipower ifactor icorrection iobtained iby iusing icapacitor ibanks ito igenerate ilocally ithe ireactive ienergy inecessary ifor ithe itransfer iof ielectrical iuseful ipower, iallows ia ibetter iand imore irational itechnical-economical imanagement iof ithe iplants.Item Buck Boost Converter using Sepic Topology(2019-07-22T10:29:23Z) AKSHAY KUMAR, BIRADAR; AMRUTHA, HEGDE; SHAHID, ANSARI; P TARUN, KUMARNowadays single-ended primary-inductor converter (SEPIC) is used widely for better performance for conversion of voltage Some application of converter only need to buck or boost the voltage and can simply use the corresponding to input sometimes the output are not according to input. Then in that case, it is usually use best to convert that can decrease or increase the voltage Buck-Boost is cheaper but they heat up and having only a capacitor and inductor which causes high amount of input current ripple and this will create high amount of harmonics and its remedy is expensive and thus this makes buck-boost converter very expensive component too. And the major issue with the buck-boost is that they invert the voltage and all these can be eliminated through the Cuk converter but Cuk will create ample amount of electrical stress on components this can result in device failure or overheating .SEPIC will solve above problems easily without any harm to components and also cheap solution to problems and less electrical stress and overheating.Item Closed Loop Control of BLDC Motor(2019-07-19T11:45:56Z) AMIT, KUMAR; BINAY, KUMAR; MD., SAAD; A VIGNESH, KUMARThe project is designed to control a speed of a BLDC motor using closed loop control technique. BLDC motor has various application used in industries like in drilling, lass, spinning, elevators, electric bikes etc. A speed control of a DC motors is very essential. This proposed system provides a very precise and effective speed control system. A user can enter a desired speed and a motor will run at that exact speed. It is based on a principle of PWM speed that can be controlled. This is achieved by keeping the BLDC motor on a closed loop feedback by a giving an RPM reference to a microcontroller upon a shaft which is mounted IR reflection arrangement. An LCD duly interfaced to a microcontroller to display a running speed. A desired speed in percentage of full speed is fed with a help of a keypad. A controller delivers the desired pulse width to automatically adjust a DC power to a motor for required speed. Above operation is carried out by using 1 opto-isolator and a MOSFET for driving a BLDC motor with IR sensing for getting a speed reference to a microcontroller. Further the project is as per the aspect to fulfill the requirement of our own college Electrical machine lab, so as to control the speed of the motor during a number of experiments performed ,and to reduce the circuit and cost and upon that reducing the losses incurred while adjusting the speed using rheostat.Item A Control Design for Vehicle Speed Using Multilevel Inverter and RF Technology(2019-07-22T07:36:02Z) MANU, B C; NAVEEN, KUMAR N; RAJESH, V; SANJAYNowadays people are driving very fast; accidents are occurring frequently, we lost our valuable life by making small mistake while driving (school zone, hills area, and highways). So in order to avoid such kind of accidents and to alert the drivers and to control their vehicle speed in such kind of places the highway department have placed the signboards. But sometimes it may to possible to view that kind of signboards and there is a chance for accident. So to intimate the driver about the zones and the speed limit automatically, is done by means of using RF technology. The main objective is to design a Smart Display controller meant for vehicle’s speed control and monitors the zones, which can run on an embedded system. Smart Display & Control (SDC) can be custom designed to fit into a vehicle’s dashboard, and displays information on the vehicle. The project is composed of two separate units: zone status transmitter unit and receiver (speed display and control) unit. Once the information is received from the zones, the vehicle’s embedded unit automatically alerts the driver, to reduce the speed according to the zone, it waits for few seconds, and otherwise vehicle’s SDC unit automatically reduces the speed.Item COST INCURRED AND COST ESTIMATION FOR BACKGROUND VERIFICATION IN GOLDQUEST GLOBAL HR SERVICES PVT LTD(2019-07-23T10:21:25Z) SAMEER AHMEDThis is internship report based on two months period internship program that I have successfully completed in GOLDQUEST GLOBAL HR SERVICES PVT LTD under from 02.02.2019 to 31.03.2019 as a requirement of my MBA programme on New Horizon College of Engineering Established in 2001. Derivatives trading in the stock market have been a subject of enthusiasm of research in the field of finance the most desired instruments that allow market participants to manage risk in the modern securities trading are known as derivatives. The derivatives are defined as the future contracts whose value depends upon the underlying assets. If derivatives are introduced in the stock market, the underlying asset may be anything as component of stock market like, stock prices or market indices, interest rates, etc. The main logic behind derivatives trading is that derivatives reduce the risk by providing an additional channel to invest with lower trading cost and it facilitates the investors to extend their settlement through the future contracts. It provides extra liquidity in the stock market. Derivatives are assets, which derive their values from an underlying asset. These underlying assets are of various categories like Commodities including grains, coffee beans, etc. Precious metals like gold and silver. Foreign exchange rate. •Bonds of different types, including medium to long-term negotiable debt securities issued by governments, companies, etc. Short-term debt securities such as T-bills. Over-The-Counter (OTC) money market products such as loans or deposits. Equities For example, a dollar forward is a derivative contract, which gives the buyer a right & an obligation to buy dollars at some future date. The prices of the derivatives are driven by the spot prices of these underlying assets. However, the most important use of derivatives is in transferring market risk, called Hedging, which is a protection against losses resulting from unforeseen price or volatility changes. Thus, derivatives are a very important tool of risk management.Item Design and Implementation of Electrical Vehicle using Three Phase Induction Motor and VFD(2019-07-19T11:58:52Z) ATHULDAS, NP; NIVEDITA, RAVI; PRIYANKA, S; SUHAS, H KAn electric vehicle is a plug in electric automobile that is propelled by one or more electric motor using energy typically stored in rechargeable battery, since petroleum is one of the main source of energy in the world the environmental impact of petroleum are mainly negative this is due to toxicity of petroleum which contribute to air pollution ,acid rain and various illness in humans. Petroleum also fuel climate change due to the increased green house gas emission in it's extraction, refinement transport and consumption phases. The three phase Induction motor is quite simple in nature and working of motor is independent of environment condition because it is mechanically strong and robust, since it does not have brushes hence does not have spark compared to DC motor. The brushless DC Motor produces too much of heat ,has rotor inertia, speed control of brushless DC Motor is costly and power rating is limited to 1kw. Since the advantage of Induction motor including high starting torque and high efficiency we are using three phase Induction motor over brushless DC Motor. By implementing electric vehicle using VFD and Three phase Induction motor initially to run the electric vehicle with DC source using solar energy which will be later transformed into AC source using VFDItem A Diagnostic Study on OCTAPACE at Capgemini, Bengaluru(2019-07-23T07:16:22Z) BHAVYA B GOver the past three decades there is era of great developments in the field of human Resource Development. As an option in contrast to the conventional human-PC communication interface (HCI, for example, the console and the mouse, the utilization of human developments, including face, the entire body and exceptionally hand signals have pulled in an ever-increasing number of individuals as of late. The differing consistent and physical abilities of clients (for example older, youngsters or individuals with inabilities) likewise require human-PC interfaces that are effectively learnable and usable, rather than customary communication strategies, for example, the mouse and console, which require a sort of abilities, and confine the client in a specific sort of physical mode.Item HARMONICS & NEUTRAL TO GROUND VOLTAGE REDUCTION USING ISOLATION TRANSFORMER(2019-07-23T06:48:37Z) CHINTAMANI SANTOSH; DHANUSH R; HARSHA S; KIRAN KUMAR B NAIKNow a day’s non- linear load used in industries, result in the harmonics current and voltage in disturbances system. Result in increases NG voltage as well as harmonics disturbances can create a problem to improve power quality. It is important to use fabricated isolation transformer with copper strip which is located between primary and secondary windings of transformer. Massive buildings and work places have a 3 ph. source where the load is connected with 1ph supply between lines and neutral in a distribution system both linear as well as nonlinear load are present. Due the high harmonic voltage there is failure of equipment and linear load losses. Thus reduction of harmonic voltage is improving power quality. The main problem in a distribution system is NG voltage. It is nothing but potential measure between neutral conductor and ground conductor. As we know an isolation transformer is used for international safety and standards in electronic equipment has been increased drastically in last several years. Which uses nonlinear load like resistive, inductive and capacitive etc. (rectifier, microwave oven, computer, printer etc.)?Increasing use of power electronic devices there will be a chance of increase in harmonics.Item HIGH FREQUENCY STABILITY OF TCXO FOR PHASE LOCK LOOP(2019-07-23T06:02:26Z) CHANDAN N; LAVAN KRISHNA K; SAI DINESH P; DAYA DIKSHITH RCrystal oscillators are the heartbeat of modern communication systems. For decades, the quartz crystal has been used for precise frequency control. Applications that require accurate frequency control include wireless transmitters, digital circuits, and time-based measurement instruments. In the increasingly popular field of wireless communications, available frequency spectrum is becoming very limited. Regulatory agencies have imposed tight restrictions on bandwidth and frequency stability. These requirements vary throughout the spectrum in accordance with the intended applications. Many factors affect the frequency stability of an oscillator. These include variations in voltage, time, and temperature. Specifications for frequency stability are expressed as the amount of the divergence from the nominal operating frequency, usually in terms of a percentage or in parts per million (ppm). There are generally two methods of controlling the instability of an oscillator due to temperature variations of its environment. The first is the method of temperature control. It involves the use of some kind of temperature stable chamber in which the sensitive components of the oscillator are placed. In the case of a crystal oscillator, the crystal is placed in a thermal oven that is held at a constant temperature. This circuit is called an oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO). Very good stability over wide temperature ranges can be achieved. However, there are some disadvantages. The oven itself is usually a somewhat bulky unit that draws a considerable amount of current to maintain a constant temperature. This significantly restricts its use in miniature battery powered electronic devices. In addition, an oven-stabilized oscillator needs an initial warm-up period before it reaches a stable frequency. In the applications where the size, current draw, and warm-up period are tolerable, this approach to frequency stability is usually very desirableItem IMPACT OF ORGANISATION CULTURE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE AT CAREERNET(2019-07-23T10:41:58Z) SUHASItem INTEGRAL CYCLE SWITCHING WITHOUT HARMONICS FOR INDUSTRIAL POWER CONTROL(2019-08-08T10:26:24Z) NISHA D; SAIPRIYA L; LEKHA V; HARSHNI RThe proposed project aims at getting integral cycle switching for controlling AC power in linear loads like heaters used in electric furnace. Integral cycle switching is basically removing whole cycle or portions of cycles from an AC signal. This is achieved by using microcontroller of 8051 family programmed in assembly/C language such that whenever the signal is applied on the load, the actual time-average voltage at the load should be proportionately lower than the whole signal. A comparator is used for zero crossing detection, fed to microcontroller as an interrupt. Microcontroller thus produces output as per interrupt received and generates triggering pulses. These pulses can then drive opto-isolators in triggering the TRIAC. Thus integral cycle is achieved as per the input switches interfaced to microcontroller. A lamp is used instead of motor to verify the output.Item INTEGRATION OF WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK WITH VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTATION IN A HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS(2019-07-23T06:51:56Z) DANESH BADIGER; GOURISH K; SACHEEN; VINAY S AWATIThis paper proposes a hazardous environment monitoring and control for monitoring information concerning safety and security, utilizing Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology with virtual instrumentation a system architecture and concept implementation are described, in the context of an industrial safety monitoring scenario.
