The symbiosis between communication technologies and vehicles offers opportunity to improve assistance to people injured in traffic accidents, by providing information about the accident to reduce the response time of emergency assistance services. The proposed design of the application can detect accidents, pin-point the location of accident and initiate emergency communications automatically. The use of this application can significantly shorten the time taken for determination of the accident site and warning the concerned authorities. A hardware kit is used to detect the accident, get the GPS location that consists of accelerometer, Node MCU and GPS receiver. And the information about the accident location is sent to the hospitals and the relatives of the user. The message is sent through Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). An atm medical system is introduced to reduce the man power time and energy. It is similar to an ATM through which we get the required money at any time & any place. The same system is followed for the pharmaceuticals also. Medicines for B.P, diabetics, cold, fever, headache, and first aid medicines like bandage, cotton, ointments, and other routinely used tablets can be obtained. When RFID card is inserted, the details of the particular user are read by the RFID reader and displayed. After the identification of the valid person, list of medicines will be displayed on the LCD display, then user selects the required medicines by entering the corresponding number of selected medicines by using the Push buttons. After entering the required quantity of medicines, the amount will be calculated according to the medicine and their quantity. The amount will be deducted from the RFID card and immediately the transaction details will be sent through GSM. After payment deduction the selected medicine are delivered automatically from the system. People buy their necessary products and other items in every supermarket or shopping mall by using trolley or baskets. In holidays and weekend we can see the huge rush at shopping mall. Hence it takes more time for billing the products. To overcome this, we are developing a system called "An Automated billing system in shopping malls using Basket". Enter the basket unique ID in the mobile app and start the shopping. Whenever we put the product with contains RFID tag in the basket, RFID reader reads the product and displays the price, name and quantity of the product on the LCD display. If we don’t want any product, we can swipe and press remove keypad, that product will be deleted. After all the products taken the total amount is displayed on LCD display and transmitted to the main billing section using Wi-Fi. Billing process can takes place through online or cash. In the first module, the RF transmitter is kept which gives the information about the speed limits in that area. This module is kept in that speed limit areas. In the second module, the RF receiver is kept which receives the information from the transmitter and lets the driver know about the speed limits so that the driver can slow down the vehicle. We present our project - Smart Battery Management System using Texas Instrument Launch Pad Boards which is employed to adopt a configuration during which a slave monitoring device installed within the lead acid battery automatically measures the voltage, current, and temperature of (or near) the battery. The measurement data is then transmitted wirelessly through Bluetooth. Software and modular hardware ensure fail-safe operations and protection to the battery against overcharge, thermal discharge and overcurrent. Texas Instrument Board (CC2652R1) is a wireless microcontroller which supports programming and debugging from Code Composer Studio and Sensor Interface Board is employed to send data wirelessly to the gateway using Bluetooth. Since battery is employed in various applications, and every application requires different battery conditions and voltages and at such times monitoring of every cell becomes crucial. This report presents the growth of the On-board diagnostic system for vehicles using Internet of Things(IoT) as it is going to play a revolutionary role in the automobile industry. This OBD system consists of an ARM controller which is part of the LPC2148 family that acts as the processing unit where the program is written using Keil micro vision software, sensors and LCD as user interface. The vehicle specifications such as gas concentration, brake condition and vehicle detection are sensed and those results are viewed on the LCD display and also can be viewed on an app in a smartphone. The sensors are first installed at different parts of the vehicle to sense various vehicle parameters. To improve the functional and security, of the machine learning algorithm have an important role in a smart home environment, e.g., providing biotechnology-based evaluation and authorization, threat detection, etc. On the other side, attackers also treat algorithms as a weapon , as well as a easy target, to exploit the security parameters in smart home systems. In this paper, we bring the whole system design suggested by the mainline service providers, e.g., Samsung, Google, Apple, etc. Based on our proposed overall smart home system model, we investigate the appliance of learning algorithms in smart home IoT system security. Our study includes two angles. First, we discussed about the functionality and therefore the security enhancing methods supported learning mechanisms; second, we also described the safety threats exposed by employing learning techniques. Therefore, finding an ideal way to reduce power consumption in commercial buildings without compromising with the indoor comfort is analytically challenging. One of the proven ways to achieve energy efficient HVAC system is by novel design of system configuration. Each component of an HVAC has specific design requirement and it provides us the opportunities for energy saving. Energy efficient HVAC can be created by reconfiguring the traditional existing system, but it’s cost effective. This project investigates and reviews an approach for increasing the performance of an existing HVAC system without replacing any of the components and to demonstrate its ability to improve the performance by reducing power consumption. This is possible by analyzing the previously collected data and determining a data pattern that is subjected to various environmental conditions and to obtain optimal parameters that is required to run HVAC system. By making the system run at optimal rate, consumption of power reduces and cooling increases.Item Distributed Sensor Data computing in Smart City Applications(2020-10-13T06:36:38Z) Patil, ShambulingItem Document Digitization Text Recognition(2020-10-09T12:12:02Z) Kumar Kullully, Athira AjayThis project highlights how Extended Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology (EMNIST) database can be put to use, to create clean and synthetic images of texts in different handwriting styles from the set of available images. This project presents a detailed review of Optical Character Recognition, the methods using which we can classify character by detecting and extracting the position of a character from synthetic images. With the help of the image processing, the raw image is cleaned by first converting the image into grayscale and applying the thresholding techniques, before it is sent for classification, so as to give a higher probability of successful recognition of characters. Once cleaned, the characters in the images are segmented based on lines, words and characters. These individual character images are resized to 28* 28 pixels and fed into the neural network for classification. The predicted string after classification is checked for any errors in spellings and finally, the output is written in an XML or JSON file which contains the predicted string, position of the string as well as the likely words.Item Face Emotion Recognition for Blind People using Deep Learning and Text to Speech(2020-10-13T06:21:05Z) T J, Prajwal; Raj, R Pavan; J M, Preshika; N, RakshithaIn our project, the blind will be able to identify people through facial detection and recognition and will receive an audio message about the facial expressions or emotions of person who is interacting with them. This project also gives the blind an opportunity to identify people around them and approach them first without having to wait for others to approach them first provided there are details of the person being identified in the database. New faces and details can also be added to the database. Facial expressions are believed to be closely related to one’s emotions and offer information about the message one is trying to convey. Visually impaired people who lost vision early in life can experience adverse effects on their social development, ultimately impacting their social inclusion as adults because of their inability to fully access nonverbal information. To assist them in their social activities and interactions, we have come up with a solution to detect facial expressions of the people communicating with the blind people, which is intimated to them via audio allowing them to interact with people comfortably. Automatic entrance/exit control is widely used in public places such as shopping malls, airports etc. to reduce the need of physically opening and closing actions. This project provides advance automation for owners. It is an advanced access control system, based on face recognition. It is an equipment that uses the digital information such as face recognition, fingerprints and RFID cards as a method of authentication instead of legacy key system. The system consists of sensor modules for detecting the condition outside the house, a Camera module, fingerprint scanner and RFID reader for user authentication, Electromagnetic lock for opening and closing the door.Item Fingerprint Vehicle Starter with GPS Vehicle Tracking and Theft Detection(2020-10-15T11:13:30Z) Vardhan, Raj; Bahuguna, Udit; Mishra, Varun; Chauhan, SimonVehicle security is an important issue these days due to the rising number of vehicle thefts. Also one more issue with vehicles is handling its keys. Keys need to be carried and misplacing keys or loosing them will cause a serious issue. Here we propose a solution to this problem by using a fingerprint authenticated vehicle starter system. It also proposes a GPS based vehicle tracking system that tracks the vehicle and sends the tracking data over through a SMS. The microcontroller acts as the controlling head of the system. The system includes a GPS modem that tracks the vehicle location in the form of latitude and longitude .This location can be accessed via SMS that is being sent to the user .This system proves very beneficial for transport and travel companies as they can now keep track of their vehicles.
