Item ULTRA LOW POWER ROM ARCHITECTURE (IMPLEMENTATION OF MEMORY ARRAY)(2019-06-18T10:15:09Z) MEGHA D R; RUKMINI NHere we are designing the low power ROM architecture by implementing memory core which consumes less power when compared to conventional ROM architecture. This is achieved with help of many type of memory architecture of ROM such as NOR and NAND array and choosing best architecture for memory array. The low power ROM architecture is achieved by implementing selective precharge technique at architecture level. Large capacitance is switched during precharge cycle because all the bit lines are precharged high and many bit lines are discharged even when these locations are not accessed. By using selective precharge technique only the required bit line is precharged which reduces power consumption significantly. Selective precharge technique is implemented by designing an control block which helps in selecting a particular bit line which is to be precharged according to the required address accessing. Control block consist of decoder which consumes less power and less delay, by comparing different decoder we have chosen decoder using mixed logic which consist of both transmission gate logic and dual value logic. Simulation, layout and power analysis of different architecture is done using 180nm and 45nm technology in Cadence tool and spectra simulator.Item OPTIC DISC LOCALIZATION IN RETINAL IMAGES BASED ON CUMULATIVE SUM FIELDS(2019-06-18T10:09:25Z) M KALYAN KUMAR; SHAIK SOHAIL; N KUSHVANTH CHOWDARYThis paper describes an automatic method for the optic disc localization in retinal images, which is effective and reliable with multiple datasets. Particularly, the described method reveals very effective dealing with retinal images with large pathological signs. The algorithm begins with a new vessel enhancement method based on a modified corner detector. Subsequently, a weighted version of the vessel enhancement is combined with morphological operators, to detect the four main vessels orientations f0o; 45o; 90o; 135og. These four image functions have all the necessary information to determine an initial optic disc localization, resulting in two images that are respectively divided along the vertical or horizontal orientations with different division sizes. Each division is averaged creating a 2D step function, and a cumulative sum of the different sizes step functions is calculated in the vertical and horizontal orientations, resulting in an initial optic disc position. The final optic disc localization is determined by a vessel convergence algorithm using its two most relevant features; high vasculature convergence and high intensity values. The proposed method was evaluated in eight publicly-available datasets, including the STARE and DRIVE datasets. The optic disc was localized correctly in 1752 out of the 1767 retinal images (99:15%) with an average computation time of 18:34 seconds.Item BIDIRECTIONAL VISITING SENSING DEVICE WITH REMOTE DATABASE INTEGRATION”(2019-06-18T10:02:25Z) EKTA SHUKLA; S KRITHIKA; SHIVANI KUMARIThe main objective of our project is to build a bidirectional visitor sensing device using a Node MCU with Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity). This system is designed and presented in order to count the visitors of the auditorium, classrooms or other places where the visitors have to be counted and controlled. Depending on the interrupt from the sensors, the system identifies the entry and exit from the visitors. The basic functionality of the device is to count the number of students entering the classrooms at any prescribed hour. When a person enters the room the counter is incremented by one and when the person leaves the counter is decremented by one .The total number of students will be displayed on the LCD display. Our project also logs the data of the students along with the faculty and the subject in that particular hour into the cloud server. The data on the cloud is represented in a user readable format and hence expected to alert the faculty on the count of the students and other required details. The system also facilitates the plotting of graph for the particular day or the month. Safeguarding the data is indispensable in today’s scenario. It is getting better day by day. The smart locker system concept is derived from the bank lockers system which is used for asset security. The same concept was also used in the post office. In olden times every user will have a locker assigned so that if any post comes the same will be dropped in the box. Aim of the project is to design a system which will control locker door by using smart phone/tablet or touch interface. Keeping these lockers as static and then assigning user will decrease the usage of the lockers thereby increasing the maximum usage of the lockers that can be assigned dynamically. In the proposed system, every use will be logged so that one can trace from time to time and the physical keys will be upgraded to smart lockers with necessary authentication.Item Implementation of Fractal Image Compression with GUI”(2019-06-18T09:55:26Z) SNEHA S; THANUJA A; SREE RENUKAKSHITHA JFractal image compression is a lossy compression method for digital images based on fractals rather than pixels, which are best suited for textures and natural images,it works on self-similarity property in various fractions of images, relying on the fact that parts of an image often ressemble other parts of the same image. It takes long encoding time and affects the image quality. This code introduces an improved model integrating quantized quad trees and Huffman coding used for fractal image compression.Quantized quad tree method divides the quantized original gray level and color image into various blocks depending on a threshold value besides the properties of the features presented in image.Huffman coding is applied for improving compression quality.Simulation results shows that the quantized quad trees and Huffman coding improved compression ratio and quality derived from the fractal image compression with range block.Different quantitative measures can be found by passing images of different format and dimensions.Item VLSI(2019-06-18T09:50:34Z) PAVITHRA R; RAKSHITHA LIn this paper we have shown the concept of microcontroller based automatic car parking system. As we see in the modern world everything has become automated, we have built a system which will automatically send the entry and exit of cars with the help of microcontroller through a gate and then display the number of cars in the parking lot. We have deployed a microcontroller lpc2148 which is interfaced with the pc to get the information about the parking space availability and then depending on the capacity of cars to enter, the gate either opens or remains closed. There is also RFID module to provide security as users who have authority can swipe the RFID cards and get entry otherwise not. The goal of this paper is to automatically park the car into the parking area .LCD display is provided to display the information about the total number of cars that can be parked and the free slots available. Two IR sensors, transmitter and receiver pairs are used in the project to identify the entry and exit of the cars into or out of the parking lot. These two IR sensors transmitter and receiver pairs are arranged on either side of the gate.Item EMBEDDED SYSTEM(2019-06-18T09:47:25Z) ANUSHA R; N MEGHA; SAVITA SHIVANAND PATILAccident ratio is increasing through every year so that analysis about the accident is very essential. Characterization requires adequate logic, timing, power consumption for each cell in the library. Cell characterization demands are increasing for following reasons With each technology node as each library is operated over multiple voltage domains driven by different application scenarios. The characterization is also an iterative process with a new node maturing over a period of time. Accounting On chip variation in the timing closure leads to requirement of AOCV/LVF characterization Because of above reasons over all cell library characterization is a very time/cost/cpu/license intensive process and handling a characterization process is a challenging job. Any effort in terms of cutting down on the PVT characterization will be huge problem solver for entire VLSI industry. Any commercial standard cell library needs to characterize 1500-2000 cells in each VT and channel length (typically 6-15 combinations) for over 50+ pvt corners.Item Soldier Health & Position Tracking System”(2019-06-18T07:11:09Z) SYED ZAHIDULLA; JISHMA ASMI.V; ASHWIN REDDYIn today’s world, warfare is an important factor in any nation’s security. The existing approaches used single segmentation algorithms, that leads to poor segmentation results. In order to improve the accuracy, the hybrid segmentation techniques are introduced in this work. Wavelet based transition method which initially decomposes the grey image in wavelet domain. Local variance and Gabor filter are applied on approximate coefficients to extract transition region feature matrix. Using this feature matrix, the corresponding prominent wavelet coefficients of various bands are found. Inverse wavelet transform are then applied on the modified coefficients to get edge image. Later, Otsu thresholding is applied to get transition regions. Further, morphological operations are applied to extract the object regions. The effectiveness of the proposed work is compared with other existing methods using different quantitative measures.Item SMART ACCIDENT PREVENTION AND DETECTION SYSTEM(2019-06-18T06:55:18Z) APARNA, M; LAXMI, SAH; SOUNDARYA, B KThe ever increasing number of traffic accidents all over the world are due to driver’s vigilance level. The high demand of automobiles has also increased the traffic and the road accidents. This is because of the lack of facilities available. Therefore an automatic system is introduced in case of drowsiness, heart attack, alcohol consumption or obstacles which leads into road accidents. We often see that when an accident occurs the person or the people nearby have to manually call the emergency services. Sometimes it happens that one person waits for other to call which leads to waste of time. Hence there is a delay for emergency services to arrive at the location of the accident and providing necessary health care which may even lead to death of the people who meets with an accident. Also there is no system to recognize the drowsiness, alcoholic consumption, heart attack and also to provide necessary safety measures to be taken.Item LAKE WATER MONITORING SYSTEM”(2019-06-18T06:50:13Z) Bhavana Savanth; Sanjana Ranjan; Shubha AWith the elixir of life being fed with an influx of toxins drained in by the effluents channelled by the ever-growing factory productions, monitoring what enters the water systems such as lakes is the need of the hour.
