However, traditional communication training methods often rely on manual evaluation, limited feedback, and instructor-dependent learning processes, making it difficult to provide personalized guidance and continuous improvement opportunities. To address these challenges, an Al-Powered Communication Training System was developed during the internship carried out under the Industry4.0 Lab in association with the Career Development Centre (CDC), New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE).

Various modules such as Procurement Management, Requisition Handling, Inventory and Sub-Inventory Management, Purchase Order Processing, and workflow approval systems were explored during the internship period. Practical exposure was gained in handling procurement activities, transaction management, inventory operations, workflow automation, and enterprise workflow configurations. The internship also provided understanding of production support activities, ticket monitoring, transaction tracking, and ERP-based business operations within cloud platforms.

The work involved learning and applying key ERP processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), supplier management, and inventory management. Practical activities included creating entries, managing master and transaction data, and understanding inventory transactions and planning methods such as Min-Max planning. The internship also covered important areas like enterprise structure, procurement setups, approval workflows, and system configurations, which are essential for implementing ERP solutions. In addition, exposure was gained to real-world scenarios such as ERP implementation, production support, and handling client requirements. The primary objective was to test the functionality, performance, compatibility, and stability of smart monitor features across different environments and usage scenarios. During the internship, various testing activities such as functional testing, regression testing, system integration testing, UI validation, and defect reporting were performed. The work involved analyzing system requirements, executing test cases, identifying software defects, and coordinating with development teams to resolve issues efficiently. Different smart monitor functionalities including display features, connectivity options, application behavior, system settings, and user interactions were validated to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components. The internship provided practical exposure to software testing methodologies, bug tracking processes, and real-time product development cycles followed in the industry.     -The emergence of Industry 4.0 has redefined how businesses manage their internal operations, demanding smarter, faster, and more integrated digital solutions. At the core of this transformation is the automation of repetitive business processes particularly in sales management which traditionally rely on manual effort, paper-based workflows, and fragmented software systems. This internship report presents a comprehensive account of the design, implementation, and evaluation of an Odoo-based Sales Workflow Automation system developed under the Industry 4.0 framework at the Career Development Centre (CDC), New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE). -The project focuses on automating the complete sales pipeline within Odoo ERP from quotation generation through sales order confirmation, delivery management, and culminating in invoice creation and payment reconciliation. Odoo 17, an open-source enterprise resource planning platform, was configured and customized to support seamless end-to-end sales operations. Key modules implemented include the Sales module, Inventory module, Accounting module, and CRM module, integrated through Odoo's built-in workflow engine. The system enables automatic quotation drafting based on product configurations, automated email delivery to customers, one-click sales order confirmation, smart inventory checking and delivery order generation, and automated invoice creation linked directly to confirmed sales orders. The platform was tested in a simulated manufacturing SME environment, demonstrating measurable improvements in process speed (62% reduction in order processing time), data accuracy (error rate reduced from 14% to 1.2%), and inter-departmental coordination. This report covers the internship domain, company overview, module descriptions, database and hardware architecture, tools used, module implementation steps, roles and responsibilities, technical and non-technical skills acquired, outcomes, applications, and benefits. The project titled “Planora - Smart Event Organization and Networking Hub” was mainly centered on understanding how full-stack web and mobile ecosystems streamline corporate event logistics, eliminate administrative human error, and improve real-time communication pipelines between attendees, speakers, and management. The internship involved studying core architectural workflows, processing logic layers, and learning how secure data flows seamlessly across cross-platform mobile viewports and administrative web portals to ensure smooth and efficient physical event operations. Throughout the internship, a practical engineering understanding was gained in critical areas such as location-based automation via the mathematical Haversine distance-checking formula, biometric identity authentication mapping, normalized relational database management (RDBMS) utilizing explicit primary and foreign key constraints, automated tier-pricing and sales tax computation logic, B2B matchmaking state machines, and real-time push notification alert orchestration. Real client issues were analysed and resolved, including the investigation of a Fixed Assets charge account auto-population failure in Oracle Cloud Procurement, which provided hands-on understanding of production support methodology and root cause analysis techniques. Apart from technical knowledge, the internship contributed to the development of professional skills such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and self-learning abilities. Participation in daily team standups, client support calls, knowledge transfer sessions, and structured documentation activities helped in understanding how professional consulting teams operate within a service delivery framework governed by Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Overall, the internship provided valuable knowledge about Oracle Cloud Fusion Applications, enterprise procurement and supply chain workflows, application support concepts, and IT service management processes. The experience gained during the internship helped in building a strong foundation in ERP systems, cloud computing technologies, and enterprise business operations, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical academic knowledge and practical understanding of real-world Oracle Cloud environments.

It also includes features such as activity scheduling, follow-up reminders, customer communication history, quotation management, and task tracking. These features help sales teams maintain regular communication with customers and ensure that no business opportunity is missed.     Design and implementation of small-scale computer network

    This internship focused on the design, implementation, and security configuration of a small-scale computer network in a simulated office environment. Conducted at the Brillio Centre of Excellence (CoE) at New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE) under the Networking and Cybersecurity Track, the internship provided comprehensive practical exposure to core networking concepts and industry-standard tools. The primary objective was to design a logically structured, scalable network topology for a simulated small office with two departments, a server zone, and a management VLAN. The implementation included IP addressing and subnetting using Variable Length Subnet Masking (VLSM), Layer 2 VLAN configuration on Cisco Catalyst 2960 switches, and inter-VLAN routing using the router-on-a-stick method on a Cisco 2911 router. OSPF was configured as the dynamic routing protocol, and network services including DHCP, DNS, and NAT (PAT) were enabled and verified. Network security was implemented following a defence-in-depth approach. At Layer 2, switch port security and DHCP snooping were configured to prevent MAC flooding, ARP poisoning, and rogue DHCP server attacks. At Layer 3, named extended Access Control Lists (ACLs) were applied on router sub-interfaces to enforce inter-VLAN traffic policies and restrict unauthorised access to server resources. The implementation was carried out using Cisco Packet Tracer as the primary simulation environment, with GNS3 for advanced emulation scenarios and Wireshark for protocol-level packet analysis. All design objectives were tested and verified, demonstrating correct VLAN segmentation, inter-VLAN routing, dynamic IP assignment, DNS resolution, NAT functionality, and security policy enforcement.

    Network : Design and Setup of A Small Office Network

    This internship report provides an overview of the internship in Computer Networking, focusing primarily on how to design and implement a small office network. Along with theoretical understanding, the internship also provided hands-on experience with networking concepts through practical application. This provided a foundation for developing both theoretical knowledge of networking technologies (e.g., homework assignments) and practical experience with network configuration and management. The internship consisted of multiple modules and hands-on exercises covering various aspects of networking such as basic network concepts, networking devices, IP addressing, switching concepts, basic routing principles, wireless networking, and network security concepts. By completing the various hands-on exercises, internship participants learned how to communicate with one another in a computer network. The internship also included designing a small office network using various networking devices (e.g., routers, switches, computers). Each of the design's networking devices was configured and tested using Cisco Packet Tracer simulated environments. With a simulated environment, internship participants could practice configuring and testing networking devices without actually using real physical network devices. All devices were connected to one another in a switch, and all devices received an IP address from the network. The final verification of connectivity was performed by using networking utilities and commands on all devices. The implementation of this network allowed for demonstrations on communication between devices on a local network and between those devices and external networks via routers. The internship provided opportunities to develop problem-solving skills by troubleshooting basic networking issues that arose during the implementation and testing phase of the project. In addition to increasing my technical knowledge, I also gained experience with team communication, teamwork, documentation skills and confidence in performing various networking duties.

The primary objective of the internship was to understand the design, implementation, and management of computer networks. Various networking concepts including LAN, WAN, OSI Model, TCP/IP Model, IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and network topologies were studied and implemented through practical activities. Connectivity testing and troubleshooting were performed using commands such as ping, ipconfig, and tracert to identify and resolve communication issues.
