    AUTOMATED GLASS CLEANER
(2019-08-13T10:30:50Z) Gaurav Sharma; Naimish Kumar Bareek; Nikhil Prajapati; Shubham Yadav
The project presents a simple idea of an automatic glass cleaning system that can reduce the wastage of water during the process of cleaning. This system would take the used glasses inside, clean them and stack them. The entire process is controlled by PLC. When a glass is kept on a conveyor belt, this is sensed by a sensor (say proximity sensor – inductive type) and the conveyor starts moving. The glass reaches a section where it is washed. One after the other all the glasses go through the process of washing and each glass is stacked below the conveyor.

    PV INVERTER SYSTEM
    (2019-08-08T10:32:10Z) K P JEEVAN BOPANNA; NIKHIL S KUMAR; THARUN M
This project report outlines the research, design and implementation of a low power direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) inverter with particular focus on developing a low cost transformer-less voltage source conversion that has a higher efficiency as well as compact in size. The stand alone PV system design also incorporates an MPPT algorithm to ensure maximum transfer of power. The final design consists of a two-stage converter consisting of a DC-DC Step Up stage and a DC-AC Inverter stage. The DC-DC Step up converter was based on switched capacitor techniques To achieve this improvement in inverter efficiency and a reduction in cost, the power transformer and magnetic components such as inductors have been eliminated. In addition, inverter voltage control techniques such as pulse width modulation (PWM) and switching of MOSFETs have been optimized through digital control using microcontroller unit. The concern for environmental degradation from fossils fuel as well as well as the depletion of these resources has led to major investment in the research and development of the renewable energy sources. Solar energy has emerged as one of the major alternative source. The disadvantages of using solar energy are its higher capital cost in comparison to that of conventional sources of energy, and its conversion efficiency, which in commercially available Photovoltaic (PV) systems is less than 90%. Consequently, for utility connected PV generation to become a viable alternative energy source, its efficiency needs to be improved, its cost reduced, and the quality of power supplied by the inverters must meet standards. Therefore, this project seeks to achieve this improvement as outlined in the report and the MPPT technology helps in achieving this.

INTEGRAL CYCLE SWITCHING WITHOUT HARMONICS FOR INDUSTRIAL POWER CONTROL
    (2019-08-08T10:26:24Z) NISHA D; SAIPRIYA L; LEKHA V; HARSHNI R
The proposed project aims at getting integral cycle switching for controlling AC power in linear loads like heaters used in electric furnace. Integral cycle switching is basically removing whole cycle or portions of cycles from an AC signal. This is achieved by using microcontroller of 8051 family programmed in assembly/C language such that whenever the signal is applied on the load, the actual time-average voltage at the load should be proportionately lower than the whole signal. A comparator is used for zero crossing detection, fed to microcontroller as an interrupt. Microcontroller thus produces output as per interrupt received and generates triggering pulses. These pulses can then drive opto-isolators in triggering the TRIAC. Thus integral cycle is achieved as per the input switches interfaced to microcontroller. A lamp is used instead of motor to verify the output.

    A STUDY ON FINANCIAL DERIVATIVES
    (2019-07-23T11:00:26Z) SUPRIYA J
The emergence of the market for derivatives products, most notably forwards, futures and options, can be tracked back to the willingness of risk averse economic agents to guard themselves against uncertainties arising out of fluctuations in asset prices. Derivatives are risk management instruments, which derive their value from an underlying asset. The following are three broad categories of participants in the derivatives market:  Hedgers  Speculators  Arbitragers By their very nature, the financial markets are marked by a very high degree of volatility. Through the use of derivative products, it is possible to partially or fully transfer price risks by locking-in asset prices. As instruments of risk management, these generally do not influence the fluctuations in the underlying asset prices. However, by locking-in asset prices, derivative products minimize the impact of fluctuations in asset prices on the probability and cash flow situation of risk-averse investors.

    PAYMENTS PROCEDURE AND INVOICE MANAGEMENT
    (2019-07-23T10:16:11Z) REVATHI G
The present report relates to an accounts payable process and more particularly to systems and techniques for automatically matching client specific vendor or purchase order information against invoices received from the client's vendors. Accounts Payable is a process employed by every business. In its simplest form Accounts Payable is the creation and distribution of a payment to settle an obligation (typically represented by an invoice) and the associated accounting entries to recognize the expense. While in small businesses Accounts Payable might be handled by an accountant or bookkeeper with ledgers or spreadsheet. Purchasing acquires the materials necessary to maintain targeted inventory levels in support the manufacturing process. To document the purchase, establish the exact nature of the items desired and their respective quantities, set prices, etc., a Purchase Order is created by the Buyer and is sent to the Seller either electronically or on paper. The Seller fills the order, completely or partial.ly (in accordance with the requirements of the Purchase Order.) and delivers the materials to the Buyer's designated location. Once received by the Buyer, the material is recorded in an inventory control system which is maintained in tally. The Seller, meanwhile, prepares and delivers to the Buyer an invoice that represents the amount due and payable in exchange for the materials provided. The Accounts Payable department of the Buyer compares the invoice to the original Purchase Order to ensure the purchase was properly authorized and to confirm that the terms on the invoice are consistent with those documented in the Purchase Order. The Accounts Payable department also confirms through the inventory control process that the materials represented by the invoice have been received in a satisfactory and acceptable condition. When a company orders and receives goods in advance of paying for them, we say that the company is purchasing the goods on account or on credit. The supplier (or vendor) of the goods on credit is also referred to as a creditor. If the company receiving the goods does not sign a promissory note, the vendor's bill or invoice will be recorded by the company in its liability account Accounts Payable. As is expected for a liability account, Accounts Payable will normally have a credit balance. Hence, when a vendor invoice is recorded, Accounts Payable will be credited and another account must be debited (as required by double-entry accounting). When an account payable is paid, Accounts Payable will be debited and Cash will be credited. Therefore, the credit balance in Accounts Payable should be equal to the amount of vendor invoices that have been recorded but have not yet been paid.

    DERIVATIVE IN STOCK MARKET
    (2019-07-23T10:00:25Z) PRAVEEN B
Firstly I am briefing the current Indian market and comparing it with it past. Derivatives trading in the stock market have been a subject of enthusiasm of research in the field of finance the most desired instruments that allow market participants to manage risk in the modern securities trading are known as derivatives. The derivatives are defined as the future contracts whose value depends upon the underlying assets. If derivatives are introduced in the stock market, the underlying asset may be anything as component of stock market like, stock prices or market indices, interest rates, etc. The main logic behind derivatives trading is that derivatives reduce the risk by providing an additional channel to invest with lower trading cost and it facilitates the investors to extend their settlement through the future contracts. It provides extra liquidity in the stock market. Derivatives are assets, which derive their values from an underlying asset. These underlying assets are of various categories like Commodities including grains, coffee beans, etc. Precious metals like gold and silver. Foreign exchange rate. •Bonds of different types, including medium to long-term negotiable debt securities issued by governments, companies, etc. Short-term debt securities such as T-bills. Over-The-Counter (OTC) money market products such as loans or deposits. Equities For example, a dollar forward is a derivative contract, which gives the buyer a right & an obligation to buy dollars at some future date. The prices of the derivatives are driven by the spot prices of these underlying assets. However, the most important use of derivatives is in transferring market risk, called Hedging, which is a protection against losses resulting from unforeseen price or volatility changes. Thus, derivatives are a very important tool of risk management.

A STUDY ON CASH FLOW STATEMENT ANALYSIS
    (2019-07-23T08:35:18Z) NARENDRA BABU.V
In financial accounting, a cash flow statement or statement of cash flows is a financial statement that shows how changes in balance sheet and income accounts affect cash and cash equivalents, and breaks the analysis down to operating, investing, and financing activities. As an analytical tool, the statement of cash flows is useful in determining the short-term viability of a company, particularly its ability to pay bills. International Accounting Standard 7 (IAS 7) is the International Accounting Standard that deals with cash flow statements. The success, growth and survival of every reporting entity depends on its ability to generate or otherwise obtain cash. Cash flow is a concept that everyone understands and with which they can identify. Reported profit is important to users of financial statements, but so too is the cash flow generating potential of an enterprise. What enables an entity to survive is the tangible resource of cash not profit, which is merely one indicator of financial performance. A cash flow statement (CFS) is important to external users, and should be of significant importance internally as well. Cash flow refers to the movement of cash into or out of a business, or project, or financial product. It is usually measured during a specified, finite period of time. Measurement of cash flow can be used.

A Study on Contract to Hire (C2H)
    (2019-07-23T07:49:31Z) Kamesh S
Contractual hiring is a term used for hiring temporary manpower who work on a contract basis. The contract period is fixed and the company has the discretion to terminate or continue the engagement after completion of the period. C2H is the new trend that’s been followed by many organization to reduce company cost and increase their productivity of their workforce. This research is done in order to find why companies and employees prefer choosing C2H role instead of full time role. The study is carried on to get the first-hand knowledge about the contract to hire and its emerging trends followed by many companies. In this study I have chosen 4 companies where they employ C2H and the companies are HP, Pwc, decathlon and Ey with a sample size of 85. Responses where obtained using google forms and interpretation, analysis were done using graphs and tables. Advantage of company in hiring C2H employees Organization can reduce the companies head count by C2H. When the management finds out that their company is not performing well and their operating costs are high, then the company looks out to find ways to optimize their productivity. Where C2H can be a way. There is a great potential where in these contract employees can be fully involved as its own workforce later. This helps in finding the better and apt employees for the organization as a FT employees Advantage of employees in choosing C2H role Promotes skill development because as a contractor, you would be offering a specialized service that can be used across different industries. The hidden benefit is that, one would get to work with various industries, and as a result, learn while they work. This sort of broad experience can strengthen your résumé and help you establish a large professional network. Financial benefits are also another positive. Though they may have a less predictable income, it is possible to make what a full-time employee earns, and even more. Being on a contract basis means you stand a higher chance of receiving the pay you desire and deserve.
