Abstract
The goal of the current study is to create floor tiles without the use of cement by combining waste plastic in various amounts with sand and comparing the results to those of regular cement tiles. The finding has implications for polypropylene-based polymers. Tests such as water absorption, transverse resistance, impact resistance, and abrasion resistance were performed on the plastic tile in accordance with IS criteria in order to assess various mechanical and physical attributes. The outcomes of these tests were then contrasted with those of regular cement tiles. When compared to regular cement tiles, the results obtained have demonstrated superior performance. According to this study, it may be possible to make floor tiles using plastic waste as a binding material rather than cement. Nowadays, the majority of the plastic is wasted in garbage which causes lot of pollution to environment, To reduce this we can reuse plastic waste as plastic tiles.
