dc.description.abstractUse of renewable energy sources for power generation has been increasing over the past decade due to fossil fuel depletion, global warming etc which has necessitated looking into alternative, clean, and zero polluting energy sources. Solar Photovoltaic has gained popularity due to decreasing cost of PV panels over past years. Power generated these panels is in the form of DC which has to be converted to AC as most of the equipments used today are designed to work on AC. The required power conversion is achieved using inverters. The generated power is fed into the power grid from where it is conveyed to the loads. The objective of this project is to use a Z source inverter and study its performance. The proposed work will be carried out using simulation tool MATLAB/SIMULINK.en_US
