Abstract
The human resource is not only unique and valuable but it is also an organization‟s most important resource. It seems logical that an organization would expand a great deal to acquire and make full use of such a resource. This resource is known as Human Resource Management which was earlier termed as Staffing and Personnel Management. Human Resource Management (HRM) is a process of bringing people and organizations together so that the goals of each are met. Human resource management is the utilization of individuals to achieve organizational objectives. Basically, all managers get things done through the efforts of others, this requires effective HRM. According to Flippo,” Human resource management is the planning ,organizing ,directing and controlling of the procurement, development, compensation, integration, maintenance and separation of human resources to the end that individual, organizational, and social objectives are accomplished.”
