Abstract
A mutual fund is a financial intermediary that allows a group of investment to pool their money together with a pre-determined investment objective. The investor who invest their money in mutual funds of any investment management company, receive an equity position in that particular mutual fund equity funds are considered to be more risky funds as compared to other mutual fund types, but they provide higher return than other funds
It also help the investor who seek to generate long term capital appreciation and who need long term growth opportunities by investing in portfolio constituted of equity and equity related schemes of mutual funds
The objective of the study is to analyze the mutual fund equity schemes of various companies undertaken at reliance mutual fund, performance, risk, return, growth, volatility of various equity schemes have been analyzed by using financial tools
The data of the past five years are considered. In the view of understanding current scenario secondary data of 5 years were taken
It has been understand from the analysis of treynor, sharpe, Jensen, beta and standard deviation method with the help of financial tools data was analysed and it been found that reliance mutual fund schemes has been taking high risk and providing maximum return to their investors.
