Abstract
India's unparalleled linguistic diversity, with over 1,600 languages and dialects, presents significant
challenges in communication, inclusivity, and access to information. Existing translation platforms
often fail to address these challenges due to limited support for regional and low-resource languages,
lack of contextual accuracy, and inadequate multimodal capabilities. To bridge these gaps, Indi
Translate has been developed as an innovative multilingual translation platform tailored specifically
for India. Leveraging state-of-the-art Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML)
techniques, Indi Translate provides real-time, contextually accurate translations across text, speech,
and image modalities. The platform integrates advanced transformer-based models, such as BERT and
GPT, fine-tuned for Indian languages, and employs techniques like transfer learning and data
augmentation to enhance translation quality for low-resource languages. Multimodal features,
including speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), ensure
comprehensive utility for diverse use cases, ranging from education and governance to business and
healthcare. Evaluation results demonstrate robust performance, with high BLEU scores, speech-to-text accuracy,
centric design prioritizes accessibility, offering a localized interface and offline capabilities for
underserved regions. Additionally, its scalability and security measures ensure consistent performance
and data protection for a growing user base. Indi Translate not only addresses India's multilingual communication needs but also fosters cultural
preservation and inclusivity by empowering users to interact seamlessly across linguistic boundaries.
The platform represents a significant step forward in leveraging technology to bridge linguistic
divides, contributing to India's vision of a digitally inclusive and connected society. Future
enhancements include expanded dialectal support, integration with AR/VR technologies, and
personalized translation settings to further enrich user experiences
