dc.description.abstractThe aim of the present study is to evaluate the thermal performance analysis and to optimize the double pipe heat exchanger by using modern analytical and empirical tools. The actual performance of a heat exchanger can be accurately determined only by operating the exchanger at different flow rates and examining the effects of various performance parameters such as “effectiveness of the heat exchanger(),overall heat transfer coefficient(U),LMTD & pressure drop”. The effectiveness (), which was obtained from the experiments is well below the rated capacity of the heat exchanger.en_US
