| dc.description.abstract | Every enterprise project has the same basic plumbing. By embracing this premise, we can cut project costs and improve software quality in one scoop. Any java based enterprise web application is built around few basic functional and non-functional elements in the core. Additional business functionalities are put on top of the basic layer to make it fulfil the needs of specific business requirement. If the core functional and non- functional elements are built on a robust technology framework, extending it for meeting business need becomes easier. The core ingredients such as Object management, Account management, Security, Data-Access, Logging, Alarm and Reporting are normally needed by all web application. Along with these a development framework with tools such as an IDE, Build tool, Continuous Integration, Unit testing and testing automation is required. If these are prebuilt and kept ready, any new application development can be kick started very easily. Overall cost saving for the project can be reduced up-to 30%, than if it is built from scratch. A web based application framework for value added services is built at Aricent to develop reusable components that could be re-utilized in any other web applications. The above mentioned techniques are built in campaign management system which demonstrates the utilization of various reusable services such as Object management for Campaign management, Account management for User management, Security for securing the campaign system, Data-Access for accessing the data for campaign delivery, Reporting to generate reports for Campaign monitoring and user monitoring and Alarm and Logging to ensure reliability in Campaign management system. | en_US |
