Abstract
Wayanad Handloom, power loom and multipurpose industrial co-operative society was established on 17-6-1999 promoted by Government of Kerala. The Kerala state co-operative Textile Federation (TEXFED) is authorized to implement the project through Wayanad hand loom, power loom and multipurpose Industrial co-operative society. The industry was founded as a co-operative society Act of 1962.It started giving training to specialized works in May 1999 The government was provided a sum of Rs.3crores .The expected capital of the project was Rs.5.5croresw.Even it has started production using of Rs.3crores and has made much head way through planning and suitable changes.
