Abstract
An electric vehicle is a plug in electric automobile that is propelled by one or more electric motor using energy typically stored in rechargeable battery, since petroleum is one of the main source of energy in the world the environmental impact of petroleum are mainly negative this is due to toxicity of petroleum which contribute to air pollution ,acid rain and various illness in humans. Petroleum also fuel climate change due to the increased green house gas emission in it's extraction, refinement transport and consumption phases. The three phase Induction motor is quite simple in nature and working of motor is independent of environment condition because it is mechanically strong and robust, since it does not have brushes hence does not have spark compared to DC motor. The brushless DC Motor produces too much of heat ,has rotor inertia, speed control of brushless DC Motor is costly and power rating is limited to 1kw. Since the advantage of Induction motor including high starting torque and high efficiency we are using three phase Induction motor over brushless DC Motor. By implementing electric vehicle using VFD and Three phase Induction motor initially to run the electric vehicle with DC source using solar energy which will be later transformed into AC source using VFD
