Abstract
Virtual assistants are now in the trend. Google has a virtual assistant, Apple has Siri, Sophia the robot is giving us a new dimension to look at artificial intelligence. This new technology also claims to have good consumer trends. This project is also designed to replicate an already existing virtual assistant called ‘Alexa’ on a Raspberry pi board using the resources provided by Amazon Web Services.Alexa, the virtual assistant was first developed by the AmazonLabs and was used for voice assistance in their smart speakers Amazon Echo and Amazon Echo Dot.Raspberry pi was founded by the Raspberry pi Foundation in order to help children at school gain sufficient knowledge on computing. The board can be used as a computer with external peripherals/ devices attached to it. The Amazon Web Services, also known as the AWS is a part of Amazon group. It aims at providing cloud computing platforms to individuals and companies. The subscribers to this service can gain access to a large cluster of virtual computers at anytime from anywhere in the world. As we know that Automation is the present trending technology, this will make people’s work easier. It also helps to conserve energy. To Utilize the concept of voice control in various fields.The concept of voice control is used in smart phone, smart TV and very few other applications. Hence, we are implementing voice control in Home Monitoring.
