Abstract
This work revolves around the design, development, and structural analysis involved in fabricating a high-performance go-kart chassis for the ISIE-IKR 2025–26 competition. Without having a suspension system, the go-kart chassis must endure all operational loads while maintaining safety, stability, and accuracy of handling for the driver. To meet such functional and regulatory demands, the work developed a structured engineering approach, starting from interpreting the rulebook and conceptual design to geometric planning. Four design iterations were created in SolidWorks (V1–V4), each with a number of targets like structural deficiency, driver ergonomic, manufacturability, and weight optimization identified by simulations and prototypes. The final design, V4, incorporates seat-mount geometry corrections, enhanced steering support, optimized bumper structure, improved integration with a footrest, and accurate positioning of jack and hitch points to ensure compliance and safety.
