This research project describes the traffic control system based on odd-even scheme using GSM and RFID technology. The proposed method is to give a traffic control and pollution free environment in major cities. Another important application which we are implementing is detection of emergency vehicles by which traffic can be cleared quickly so as to let the vehicle pass. In this system, an RFID reader is placed at signals/toll gates which is used to read the tag number of the vehicles. Based on the TAG number the microcontroller compares and distinguish the odd-even vehicles. If the number doesn’t match then the microcontroller gives an alert signal or buzzer and sends an SMS to the traffic police control and also another SMS to the violator through the GSM module. The status of the system and vehicle details will be displayed on the LCD.en_US
