Abstract
The integration of Industry 4.0 tools in academic laboratories plays a vital role in preparing students for modern manufacturing and engineering environments. This project focuses on the implementation of smart production and rapid prototyping technologies by incorporating advanced tools such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, and Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) within educational laboratories. The objective is to create a smart learning environment that enables real-time monitoring, automated decision-making, efficient resource utilization, and enhanced product development processes. By integrating these technologies, academic labs can simulate real-world industrial scenarios, allowing students to gain practical experience in smart manufacturing concepts. The system supports data collection from connected devices, predictive analysis for equipment performance, and seamless communication between machines and software platforms. Furthermore, rapid prototyping tools enable students to design, test, and manufacture product models quickly, reducing development time and improving innovation capabilities. The proposed framework enhances hands-on learning, promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, and bridges the gap between academic knowledge and industrial requirements. The implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies in academic laboratories not only improves educational outcomes but also equips future engineers and technologists with the skills necessary to thrive in digitally transformed industries. This approach contributes to the development of a highly skilled workforce capable of supporting the future of smart manufacturing and industrial automation.
