The logistics sector in India has changed significantly in recent years. Earlier, logistics activities mainly depended on manual work, paperwork, and local transport networks. However, the growth of technology and digital systems has completely changed the way logistics operations are managed today. This study compares traditional logistics systems with modern logistics practices used in India and explains how these changes have affected business operations, transportation efficiency, customer service, and supply chain management. (Bhatnagar & Teo, 2021) Earlier logistics systems in India mostly worked through manual coordination and relationship-based business practices. Many operations depended on local agents, brokers, and physical documents for transportation and delivery activities. Communication between supply chain members was slower, and tracking goods during transportation was difficult. On the other hand, present-day logistics systems use technologies such as AI, IoT, GPS tracking, cloud platforms, and automation tools to improve operational efficiency and service quality. (Singh, 2021) This study also explains the differences between traditional and modern logistics systems in areas such as transportation management, warehouse operations, delivery speed, cost control, technology usage, and customer satisfaction. The report highlights how digital transformation has helped logistics companies improve accuracy, reduce delays, and manage supply chain activities more effectively. (Kumar & Singh, 2021)
