dc.description.abstractCollege students exhibit diverse levels of physical activity, ranging from sedentary lifestyles to highly structured fitness practices such as sports, gym training, yoga, and dance. These variations can lead to differences in movement efficiency, gait mechanics, and risk of musculoskeletal injuries. This study investigates gait kinematics among general and fitness-oriented college students to understand how activity patterns influence movement quality. Gait parameters including stride length, walking speed, joint angles, and symmetry are analyzed to identify mobility, stability, and coordination deficits. The comparative analysis highlights movement compensations, muscular imbalances, and potential injury risks between the two groups. The findings aim to provide insights for designing targeted corrective exercise programs, improving functional performance, and promoting injury-free physical activity among college students. Overall, the study establishes a foundational framework for movement assessment and preventive training in educational environments.
