Abstract
The main objective of our project is to build a bidirectional visitor sensing device using a Node MCU with Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity). This system is designed and presented in order to count the visitors of the auditorium, classrooms or other places where the visitors have to be counted and controlled. Depending on the interrupt from the sensors, the system identifies the entry and exit from the visitors. The basic functionality of the device is to count the number of students entering the classrooms at any prescribed hour. When a person enters the room the counter is incremented by one and when the person leaves the counter is decremented by one .The total number of students will be displayed on the LCD display. Our project also logs the data of the students along with the faculty and the subject in that particular hour into the cloud server. The data on the cloud is represented in a user readable format and hence expected to alert the faculty on the count of the students and other required details. The system also facilitates the plotting of graph for the particular day or the month. This is an economical cost reducing system which can be implemented where the visitors have to be monitored and makes it more efficient to make a count in the organisations.
