Abstract
The main objective of structural steel is to design the structure considering safety
as highest priority, optimization as second priority. The concrete structure are bulky and impact more seismic weight and less deflection where as steel structure instruct more deflection and ductility to the structure which is resisting, earth wake, force.
• We have made an effort compare RCC and structural steel design of a
multistoried building in term of behavior in analysis result(bending moment,
Shear force ) and optimization this will give a condition about advantage and
disadvantage of both structure. The analysis and design for RCC and structure
steel multistoried building is carried out using STAAD Pro.
• There are many classical method are available design the problems as available
also design solve problem, as evaluation taking place new software, are becoming
popular this project “STAAD Pro” has been used for analysis and design software.
• A case study of a on going project has been considered for this comparision of
RCC and structural steel building this belongs to Shri. ANANTH REDDY is to be
executed in the chitradurga city. The name of the project is proposed residential
building.
