| dc.description.abstract | The rapidly increasing population poses several problems which affect the economy and development of India. One of the problems that needs to be handled is the amount of solid waste generated everyday. Improper handling of the solid waste leads to serious problems, including health hazards. The segregation, handling, transport and disposal of waste needs to be managed effectively for a healthy environment. Smart Waste Management system helps in efficient handling of the solid waste generated, by segregating the waste according to their types, and its management by wireless communication of the level of garbage via GSM technology. | en_US |
