Abstract
This project is meant to produce constant AC mains supply that is 230 v to one phase load. this is often attained by automatic changeover of the load from the absent phase to the following available conceive a 3-phase system. it's often noticed that power disturbance in distribution system is about 70 percent for single phase faults while other two phases are in standard condition. Thus, in any commercial or domestic power supply system where 3-phase is accessible, it's advisable to possess an automatic changeover system for constant power to critical loads within the event of missing phase. during this system auto selection is attained by using a set of relays inter-connected in such how that if one among the relay feeding to the load remains always energized. Under the phase failure statement the correlated with step down transformer secondary delivers zero voltage which is duly rectified to DC then fed to the logic gates consist of AND & OR to modify on the subsequent relay that delivers the ability to the load. It also encompasses a provision of connecting to an inverter source which delivers constant power to the load incase all the three phases go missing. The project is furnished with three transformers connected to the three phases supply. Further the project may be enhanced by incorporating power semiconductor devices like thyristors/IGBTs for instantaneous changeover to the subsequent available phase.
