A Green Building refers to the efficient use of energy flows. A Green Building is one which uses less water, optimises energy efficiently, conserves natural resources, generates less waste and provides healthier spaces for occupants as compared to a conventional building. A Green building, also known as a sustainable building, is a structure that is designed, built, renovated, operated or reused in an ecological and resource efficient manner. We compare these houses, bringing out the differences and benefits over the conventional buildings. The objective of the study is to incorporate the energy saving techniques and materials for a building to convert it into a green building, find out the percentage increase in cost while constructing a green home instead of a conventional home, find out a way to encourage green construction, and to compare the costs of construction between green houses and conventional houses. In this project, we are converting conventional villas into green buildings through various incorporations and comparing the cost aspects with conventional buildings. The results are outstanding as there will be environmental benefits, economic benefits and social benefits which helps people to stay in a better world.en_US
