Doorcontrolaccessisanimportantlinkageinthesecuritychain.Apasswordbased doorlock microcontrolleris a system thatpermits access to only authorizedusersintosecured/restrictedareas. Thissystem isentirelymanagedbythe8-bitmicrocontrollerAT89C2051,ithas 2KbytesofROM.TheusergivenpasswordisusuallystoredintheEPROM soit canbechangedasperourconvenience.Thesystem includesakeypadthat intakesthepassword.Onenteringthepassword,ifmatchedwiththeonestored inthememorythentherelayturnsonandopensthedoor.Theuserwouldhave toenterthepre-setpasswordbeforeenteringandleavingtheareatobeextra carefulandavoidintrusion. Thisisadigitallocksystem andthesesystemscaneasilybeoperatedthrough oursmartphonesaswellwhichconvenientlyavoidstheneedtocarrykeys aroundeverywhereandrisktoloseit.
